I just checked on the DCL website and I see they charge $27 - $41 for an up-do. Does this include shampooing or just taking your hair as is, and putting it up?? Also, if you've had this done, were you satisfied with the results?? My SIL's sister had an up-do done on a different cruise line and totally hated how it turned out and ended up brushing it all out before the formal dinner that night. Also, how do they determine how much it'll cost; do they go according to your length of hair? Thanks for any info you can give me because I'm considering this for our cruise this summer :)

I had my hair done on the magic. This does not include shampoo, they tell you when you make your reservation..come with your hair a little dirty, as it is easier to handle and make look pretty.

Mine turned out wonderful. I kept getting compliments all night..from people I didn't know. Everyone loved it.

They also have beautiful barrettes to purchase and put in, or purchase one you like and take it with you, probably cheaper.

I can't answer for their up dos, but awhile back there was a post about bringing one of those "fake" hair pieces that look like up dos and just using it that evening. I have one myself that I got at the mall that looks completely real. This would save you using up your vacation time having your hair done.

I also had an up do on the Magic. It did not include a shampoo. My hair was not quite shoulder length at the time and with clip it came to $75.00 plus tip!

Along with that she so graciously applied a "free" sample of sun glo make-up and she went on and on with a sales pitch of why it was worth the $40.00. I was not happy when I ended up late for the show.

Well at least I have the beautiful $40.00 rhinestone clip I can use to up do my own darn hair next time!

I had an up-do done on the Magic. I loved it and plan on having one done again. They do like for your hair not to be freshly washed. Holds up better. I believe mine was around $45.00 and half of that was for two rhinestone clips she used.
