I've found a beautiful dress that I would love to wear for Palo. However, me being the conservative and modest person that I am, I'm a little concerned about the back of the dress. I've been trying to find a picture of it to post here, so you can see exactly what I'm talking about, but since I can't...I'll do my best to describe, and then you tell me if you think it will be appropriate to wear.
It's a halter style dress, so there is a strap that goes around the back of the neck to hold the top of the dress up. The back is pretty much open with the exception of two straps. The dress is fully covered, it's not revealing at all. It's a beautiful, long black dress with silver beading at the top, and down the back.
I'm just worried about the back being open. I just don't want to show too much skin. It doesn't come down any farther in the back than a regualr cut bathing suit would, but I just wanted to see what y'all thoughts on it are!
Thank you!

Actually, I just found a picture...

It's the pink one...and if you look very closely at the picture, you can somewhat see the back in the mirror that's behind the model, and from that you can tell about how low the dress is and how open it is in the back.

I think it sound Marvelous!!!!!!!!!!!!! ANd classy at the same time.. I also asked the girl who works with me, and we work in a Women's place...(that is all I will say) and she thinks the same.......

I say wear and and you will look great... :goodvibes

Sounds fine and appropriate.....don't worry. I have seen backless dresses/gowns onboard and they all look very nice.

Looks like the perfect dress!

I think the dress is very pretty and no one would look twice at the back (except a few men) it's completely appropriate. Are you wearing it to Palo or to formal night. Don't feel you have to dress too formal for Palo. They ask that you wear clothes you would feel are appropriate wear in a fancy restaurant. You will see everything there, don't let yourself stress too much.

I was thinking of wearing it to Palo, since we're doing the 4-night and there won't be an actual "formal night". I love to get dressed up, so I thought this dress would work. It's not TOO dressy for Palo, is it?

Looks beautiful to me..perfect. Are you celebrating a special occasion that night.

I'm kind of a modest person too. If I were tall enough to look good in a dress like that I'd wear it.

I don't think it is too dressy for Palo but I think you will be one of the better dressed. You will not look out of place, you will look great and feel great in a dress like. Especially if you enjoy dressing up and there is no formal night. I just didn't want you to think that formal wear is a requirement there. You will see people dressed across the board in what is considered acceptable for Palo from barely acceptable to formal.

I think the dress is perfect. If you feel a little exposed you can wear a shawl/wrap. HTH

UGAFAN - that dress is stunning. You should definately get it. I think it would be wonderful to get all dressed up to go to Palo. It's nice to do that every now and then. We are on the same cruise with you and I will be on the look out for that beautiful gown.

Wear the dress!!!
Walk in with head up, back straight, and chest out.. :earseek:
And marvel at how jealous the women will be!!!!

I think it's beautiful!! I too love to get dressed up and look for any excuse to do so!

If you love it and feel great in it - go for it!
