Ladies: Anyone worn these Skechers (not Shape-Ups) at the parks?

I've got a similar pair from DSW a while back, and wore them to Disney last December. They're very comfortable and they're good with the rides that have water on them. We did take breaks in between parks, and sat down for periods of time. So if you take that into effect, they were pretty darn comfy. :goodvibes

You might want to bring a few pairs of those "no show" low-cut socks, just in case. Even if you don't get blisters wearing the shoes without socks at home, it can be whole different story if you're walking at WDW for 10-12 hours per day. If you get the socks that are really "low cut," they won't show and look dorky.

I wore my Nike workout shoes (with socks) at WDW one trip. I thought they were really well broken in (I'd had them for about a year, and worn them about four times a week), but was very discouraged when I developed a blister on the bottom of my little toe at WDW. Very painful! These shoes never gave me a bit of trouble at home, with "casual" use, but must have rubbed more than I was aware of after so much time on my feet at WDW.

I have these shoes and always wear them with no-show socks (like Peds). I'm not sure they would be nearly as comfortable for Disney without the socks.

Do no-show socks really not show with these shoes given the low-cut biker style? I know they would be low enough in the back, but do they stick out on top?

These are my go-to WDW shoes! I also wear them with no show's.. I can't remember what brand mine are but you really can't see them. I don't think I would wear them without socks. But with no show's they are very comfortable and a nice alternative to clunkier, not as stylish sneakers!

I wore them on our last trip. I had "broken" them in at our local 6 Flags, and ended up with horrible, horrible blisters. (My feet were bleeding and swollen; we had to leave the park early because of me.)

So, I ended up buying the no shoes, too. I'd just fidget around with them until you couldn't see them. As long as the top of my foot and my heels were covered with the socks, I was good to go.

(For me, at least, and I have really narrow/thin feet, there is an are on these shoes that rubs the top of my feet completely raw. Not sure if it's just my pair or not, but better safe than sorry!)

I happen to have both of those shoes. They are both comfy. The sandal is more comfy. I would wear a sock with the other. Buy some Body glide or the bandaid brand friction block and put that on your feet to prevent any rubbing. You also can try spraying anti perserant to help get feet from sweating so much.
I may wear that sandal at my upcoming trip but not for all day, maybe for only a morning and change shoes after break. I will wear my running shoes most of the time.

So, I bought some no-show black socks this morning, and you can totally see the sock at the top of the foot (since the top of the shoe is so low-cut). I'm worried it will look goofy. I thought about getting those shoe slippers or whatever they're called that basically cover just up to past your toes, but I was concerned the shoe would rub the top of my foot that wasn't covered with the sock (btw, I also have the blister block stick stuff). Will I look like an idiot with the sock showing at the top?

Honestly....everyone knows that you walk your feet off at WDW. I say whatever works for you, go with it.

I believe the fashion police have granted WDW a property-wide footware exemption, so be assured you're safe from public humiliation if you wear the no-show liners in those shoes. :rotfl2:

I have never had a problem with mine. They are the only brand of shoes I take. We always take the kids back to the hotel in the afternoon for naps, swims, etc and when we go back I put on fresh socks and a different pair of shoes. It really makes a difference.

I actually have been thinking about buying these shoes. but, I had no idea that they were supposed to be worn without socks!! I plan on wearing these with jeans/long pants....will I look like a total dork if my socks show with these shoes when I sit down?

I have that pair and have worn them to WDW a couple of times without any problems. Skechers is all that I wear to WDW.

Eljay-I totally agree that foot heath is ore important. I wasn't planning on wearing these without socks. If these looked funky with socks I would just buy a different pair of comfortable tennis shoes that look more appropriate with socks!

So seriously, how bad do these look with socks. I love my shape-ups but they are just so huge that I feel like they might start to feel "heavy" on my feet after a full day at a park. That is why I was thinking of these, but I will just stick with my shape-ups or look at another type of sketcher's tennis shoe if they truly look that bad!

LOL! You're probably right! :goodvibes

If you're wearing them with long pants, then no worries. It's with shorts/capris, that I don't think they look right with socks.

I've worn this style, sort of Mary Jane with a velcro strap.

They work well in the parks.
As far as the sock issue? Come on guys, as others have said, foot health is just slightly more important than fashion at WDW. Blisters and limping isn't very pretty or cool for that matter. Wear the socks, nobody is going to judge you there. ;)

I also have similar Mary Jane Skechers that I'm bringing, as well (no socks). ;)

I have that pair and have worn them to WDW a couple of times without any problems. Skechers is all that I wear to WDW.

Did you wear them with or without socks?! :rotfl:
