Lack of excursions mid September in Alaska?

I currently have the 8n Alaska next year booked. My past Alaskas were always late May.
The reason I want to do alaska again is to splash on all the cool excursions I found too expensive on my past two Alaska cruises such as the glacier dog sled.
However, third party vendors are releasing their excursion dates and it seems these cool excursions all finish their season around Sept 10, so the week before that cruise I'm planing... Any experiences in that direction?

Check with Temsco Helicopters (out of Juneau or Skagway) and Island Wings out of Ketchikan. Not sure when their cutoff is but both are excellent companies.

We are booked on the same cruise. Looking forward to it!
We may cancel if I cant get a hold of the excursions I like though. I ve done Alaska twice on Disney before and the only reason I want to do it again is to do the cool stuff like the glacier sogslzd, helicopterstuff etc. I ve visited the glacier, white pass etc so then Id rather cancel and pick another cruise… a few suppliers didnt anounce their dates het so Im still waiting but it doesnt look good

We sailed on the September 12, 2022 sailing and booked all our excursions outside of Disney (super easy to do in Alaska). Skagway- Temsco Air to glacier, Juneau- Harv & Marv whale tour (did the 6 person boat and it was excellent), Ketchikan- Island Wings Air bear tour (have heard their glacier tour is also good).

In September a lot of the glacier stuff if shut down because of melt, especially expeditions with sled dogs up top.

A lot of the seasonal staff leave mid-August as well.

Teah thats what I keep reading so I think we may need to rethink and go for a different cruise and reschedule Alaska another year… i dont want to do all the -regular- stuff athied time

Once you pass July a lot of the glacier and sled dog stuff gets erratic or cancelled.
