labor day weekend?

I got airline tix for labor day weekend for $170.00 R/T from Tulsa!!!! So, I guess me and hubby are doing an adults only trip!!! Never done that before!! Anyway.....how bad will the crowds be the FR/SAT/ SUN of labor day weekend? Is it going to be horrible? Will I regret making the trip? Also....is there anything special going on then? TIA!!!!!!

Have a blast! My husband and I sneak down as often as we can without our kids knowing!! We tell them we are "going away for the weekend"...not a lie...just not all-informing truth! It is a completely different vacation without kids...and just as fun!

I do not know how the crowds will be. Last year we went for the weekend (arrived Thursday night) after Labor Day and there were no crowds at all. Hope that holds true since we are taking DD5 Aug 31-Sept 7!!

My husband and I will also be down over Labor Day weekend since one of the kids broke an arm and we decided to leave all three with the grandparents and make it a Parent's Weekend Away. I think it won't be THAT crowded because there are some awesome hotel rates that they wouldn't be offering if it was booked up. We got the Peabody for 85 per night on Fri-Sat and 75 on Sunday night. The Swan and Dolphin are offering 99 now, though when I had originally booked that the best we could get was the gov't rate of like 149.

We may go to MGM on Sunday. It's closing at 6pm on Saturday which makes me think there's some special event there. We'll just veg on Saturday and not go to any parks. I can't wait.

I saw that MGM is closing early that Sat. I wonder what is happening there? We will only have 3 days, so they will probably all be park days. But we plan on seeing PI since the kids will stay home this trip. I am so excited. We usually drive, so I am thrilled about flying. It will be so nice to skip the 20 hr drive!!!! Have a great trip...and keep your fingers crossed for low crowds and little or no rain!!!!
