Labor Day Weekend

Hi! Does anyone know how crowded Labor Day Weekend is at Disney? We're thinking of planning a last minute trip but I am worried about crowds because of the holiday.

I've heared mixed reviews. I think that Labor Day may be very crowded. I just booked a last minute trip for Labor Day. I could not resist that great Labor Day rate at the Swan and the great air fare that I got at Southwest. From the research that I have done it's definitely going to be crowded but not horrible. Hope this helps.

We were there last year Aug 30th thru Sept 9th, and it was empty. Other than MK on Sat we walked right on just about everything never used FP. The weather was decent, still hot but not as hot as July. The park hours are shorter but since the lines were so small we were able to do everything we wanted to do. When we were riding one of the boats to MGM the captain said that this was a transition time and the first 2 weeks of Sept are never crowded.

Do far this is our favorite time of the year.....

I just booked a quick vacation for Labor day weekend also. We fly down on Saturday and return on Tuesday. My debate is whether to do MK on Sunday or Monday.

I was surprised there were still rooms at the Movies in the preferred section at this time also.

Not sure about the actual weekend, but we were there the Friday after Labor Day last year and it was EMPTY. It was great. We snuck down without the kids and stayed until Monday. It got more and more crowded as the weekend went on, but when I asked why it was so empty on Friday, the CMs said, "it is always slow this time of year"....Here's to hoping they are right... cause we are heading down for the whole week this time!! Oh yeah...DD5 is going too!!
