How are the crowds? It doesn't look as if there are any special events planned, so we are hoping for a decent weekend weatherwise :)

We go every year on Labor Day weekend and the week following and have never seen bad crowds. We avoid MK (obviously) on Labor Day if we can but even there it's not nearly as bad as every other holiday you could visit. It's HOT! :sunny: But in my opinion crowds aren't a problem. Have fun!

Crowds are nothing. Most schools have just gone back into session and parents aren't too keen on taking the kids on another trip so soon after that.

I echo the PP note about the weather. It will be hot and with this summer being the way it is down here in the Southeast, be very prepared for the high temperatures. But, you won't know that until 10 days before your trip and it will change every day.

We used to go every Labor Day weekend (we have to go earlier now because of college/high school first days) and it was the best. GO TO MK ON LABOR DAY! I think the longest we ever waited was 20 minutes...definitely a great time to go!!:mickeyjum:mickeyjum

We'll be there that weekend too, and went last year this time. Great time to go. Touring Plans rates MK as among the lowest crowds in WDW on Labor Day itself, and we're going!

Went last year & It was great. Spent LD in MK and got to do everything we wanted.

Just watch the tropics as it's right in the middle of hurricane season. Other than that crowds are light and most rides other than 7DMT, Soarin, TT, and TSM (which you should get FP's for) are usually manageable.

We were there over LD weekend last year and crowds were awesome! Did MK that Saturday, Epcot/HS Sunday, HS and then MNSSHP on Labor Day. No crowds anywhere.......but as PP's said it's HOT! Enjoy :)

We went the week of Labor Day (1st trip) and it was more crowded than I thought. BUT, I had this idea in my head that we'd have the park all to ourselves. Naive thinking. We did DHS on Labor Day and MK the next day.
My main issue was the heat and humidity. Way hotter than I anticipated.

I've been there around Labor Day, and I thought it was extremely busy.

Was also very hot and humid. I think I took 3 showers a day.

We are headed there 9/4-9/7, and expect crowds to be low, but weather to be Hot! But, DH & I are Floridians, we can survive the heat and humidity; it's all to see The Mouse! :earboy2:

We went over Labor Day last year. It was less crowded than I expected (lowest crowds I've personally witnessed ever at Disney) and so hot I wondered out loud how people possibly live in Florida in the summer. We spent A LOT of time at the pool. Oh, and there were torrential downpours...not a little sprinkle, but soaking downpours. We just put on our ponchos and headed out...nothing is better to clear the crowds than a good storm!

How do we live in Florida in the summer? We don't go to Disney/Theme Parks in the summer & generally do outside stuff in early morning or late evening! Pretty much, DH & I do everything to avoid the midday heat/humidity, it's pretty unbearable. I know Labor Day will be hot, but I got such a great deal on a room for the long weekend, it was too hard to pass up! At least I am glad to hear the crowds will be less, that way all the lines to the indoor/air-conditioned rides will be shorter too! :)

This was our experience as well.
