Hi Everyone- We go to WDW every year labor day weekend and this past weekend was dead- I was so surprised- maybe because of high gas prices or the fact that southern florida had a hurricane scare last week and people lost pay from work for a day or two?

Just about everything in the MK was a walk-on yesterday. I was in EPCOT on Sunday and waited 30 minutes for Soarin at 10:00AM- but test track and Mission space were walk ons.

Crowds at the Studios were very light on Saturday- the park closed at 7PM due to the Tom Joyner celebration that night- We had no waits for anything.

I didnot use fastpass all weekend. It wasnt necessary.

I dont remember past labor day weekends being this light. We had a wonderful time and will keep making labor day weekend a must for our family at WDW.

Can you hear my primal scream!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We were thinking of going this weekend and figured it would be crowded. Just my luck. Hope it's this empty when we check-in in 2 weeks.

Glad you had a good time :thumbsup2

Honestly, it wasn't as crowded as I expected, but I did notice what a horrid job the CM's were doing with the line wait times. We were worried a couple of times about long waits, just to walk on. It was sad to hear people complaining all day that the lines were long and skipping rides that we'd practically had just walked on.

However, did you go during EMH at MK on Sunday night?!? Holy moly. It was like everyone had waited through the rain to go at night. There was a line for the people mover!!!

Oh well, it was an awesome weekend.

Amanda- I dont know what you are talking about in your first paragraph- We did not hear anyone complaining about long lines- there were none.

We did not go to EMH but my son and his girlfriend did- They didnt say anything about it being crowded. We were at the CG having dinner and were able to see Wishes from the balcony. It was wonderful.

EMH at MK was a nightmare and AK was very crowded even in the morning. There was hardly any line at MGM and Epcot we walked on most.

AK on sunday morning was crazy. You could barely walk through the park there were so many people. Not to mention they Temporarily closed EE and Dinosaur until about 2pm. Typhoon Lagoon on Friday was also arm to arm packed. Epcot on Saturday had 50min waits for Soarin and Test Track at night.

I went to MK on Friday--absolutely no lines, Ak only had lines for EE on Saturday and I got fastpasses early, MGM on Sunday was walk on to everything including rollercoaster and ToT, Epcot on Monday was empty.

The trick is to avoind the EMH days. Go to the parks the day after their night time emh. Works every time!
