My girlfriend and I are planning a trip to WDW from Sat., Aug 30th (Labor Day weekend)- Sat., Sept 6. I was just curious to know how busy Labor Day weekend is? Granted it will only be 2 of the 7 days that we are there, but I just get anyone's input that has been there before over this holiday. I assume that we should probably stay away from MK during that weekend and save it for sometime during the week.

Do they still offer FastPass in the "off-season"? The last time that I went was probably 8 years ago, when FastPass was just a dream so we didn't get to take advantage of it.

We are flying into MCO and were thinking about not renting a car, but after I started investigating a little more it may just be worth it. If we were to use the shuttle/taxi, both ways it's going to be close to $100. Add in a couple of shuttles to Universal for two days and a car rental may not be such a bad option for a week, even if it does sit there most of the week. Do the shuttles run down to Pleasure Island all night? I'm sure we'll spend a couple of nights there.

I hope and pray that Mission Space will be ready to ride when we're there. That ride looks incredible.

My girlfriend has never been to WDW and she seems mildly amused about going, but the more and more I show her the DVD and website, she gets more excited. I can guarantee that the second we drive up she will be blown away, just like I was. I hope this starts a long string of WDW vacations to come.

Labor Day weekend is one of the least busy holiday weekends at WDW. You might notice some moderate crowds at the MK, but otherwise it'll feel just like the off-season. FastPass is offered, although not necesarily for all rides.
Mission: SPACE is opening on August 15, so unless something unexpected happens, you will be riding it during your trip :)
