I'm planning a trip to WDW for Labor Day Weekend (9/1-9/4). I was just curious what the crowds and weather was like during this time.

Busy, Busy, Busy, :crowded: Hot, Hot, Hot!!!!! :smooth: We would never do that again!

It's also the Tom Joyner Weekend.

MGM will be closed probably Saturday night.

This year they will be at Coranado and the Yacht and Beach Club Resorts.

Plus there will be our group down at that time! Stay away from Whispering Canyon on the Friday Night or come and join in the fun! :lmao: :lmao:

It's a great time to go but yes it's very very very busy!

We (Brits) were in on Labor (Labour) Day weekend last year and were astonished just how quiet it was - the explanation we were given was that this was a family picnic weekend and the park was traditionally quieter :confused3 :confused3

Our experience also is that Labor Day weekend is very quiet, much more so than expected.

We have been there Labor Day weekend twice, and it was not crowded either time, but the weather was VERY HOT!

Conflicting opinions on this thread. Some say crowded, others say not so much. I guess I'll find out when I get there.

I am looking forward to the heat though ( I say that now), because I usually go during the 1st week of December when its a little cooler.

The '05 Member's Cruise began on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend, and what I remember most from the day before, which we spent at WDW, was not the heat, but the rain, it poured, and not just a 10 minute shower! We spent the day after the MC at MGM and it indeed was a quiet day, we got to do everything we wanted and walked in to get a table for 2 at the Brown Derby, no waiting!

Bobbi :)

Yes, along with the heat and humidity comes torential rains sometimes, and even hurricanes! The last Labor Day we were there was 2003, and the rain was pretty much non-stop all week.

yes croweded , but now a summer crowd, it really dies down on tuesday after labor day if you can stay, have done that for three years.
