Labor day holiday weekend

We're firstimers going this saturday to wdw any suggestions with my planner on where to go over the labor day weekend.should we avoid wdw and do kennedy or the gulf coast or even a bit of shopping? any tips from seasoned travellers brit or yank much appreciated.

Wherever you go will potentially be busy but after Sept 11 and with the anniversary looming, who knows.
Shopping is a great idea though especially in the Malls and big stores because they always have fantastic sales when they have a Public Holiday.
British shops please take note!
