Labor Day 2008

Hello! This is my first board. We have been DVC member's since 2001. We are heading to the Beach Club Aug. 31st thru Sept. 6th. Is this a good time to visit WDW? I heard a rumor that Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party might be on Fri. Sept. 5th? As of now it shows the park closing at 7pm. I know the party usually runs 7pm-12. Any truth to the rumor? I am just trying to organize our time. I have also heard the possibility that the Pirates & Princess Party could be extended? If anyone has any insight, please let me know about any special events, parades, etc.

Hi & Welcome to the boards! I have only been to WDW once before for Labor day weekend and I have found it more on the crowded side but not nearly as bad as July/ Aug or other holiday's. As for the MNSSHP, I dont know if the dates have been released yet but the Night of Joy dates have and they are happening on the 5th & 6th of Sept.

WDW site, the page on Nights of Joy concert info...it says the events will be at Hollywood Studios this time.

On mousesavers.com, they posted this:

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party 2008 will be offered on September 5, 9, 12, 16, 19, 23, 26, 28, 30 and October 2, 3, 5, 7, 9, 10, 13, 16, 19, 21, 23, 24, 26, 28, 30, 31 from 7:00 pm to midnight

So it looks like 9/5 may be the first night!
