In response to the thread about the person that lost thier wallet I have a few related questions.

First how do people go about label thier electronics and such so that if they are turned in by the rare honest individual they do know it yours? In particular digital cameras and memory.

Also do people keep a separate written list of thier credit card info and phone numbers with them on vacation in case they are stolen? We have all of that info at home but I am reluctant to have that stuff in writing. Heck I can't stand that some reciept printers print the entire CC number. I guess we could make a list and lock it in the room safe. Just curious as to what other people do.

We are generally militant and keeping track of this stuff (The cameras are in cases that attach to my belt. Yes, the uber nerd look!) but even with the best of intents we can lose or have this stuff stolen.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi there,

We have little ones and there are always things we need to carry into the park so I have a lot of things to label. What I do is print address labels with my name (because my name is on the ressies), cell phone number, resort and dates on them. Name and resort info is enough for Disney to be able to find you pretty easily. Then I stick them to everything I can. We lost a camera in Disneyland and we did get it back the same day. We have also had a Pal Mickey returned to us after being lost in WDW.

As for cc info I leave a copy of all that information with my sister. If anything happens I can get all the info I need by phone. I do take photo copies of my tickets (back side) with me.

Another thing I do with my digital camera is take a picture of an index card with my name, address and phone numbers on it. It is the first picture on my camera and I hope that will help it get returned if I ever lose it.

We get those labels in the mail all the time and we use those on all our electrical equipement. camaras, gameboys,cd players, They work good for those. I do like the idea of printing labels with resort info on them for the trip to WDW :cool1:

I use clear labels and label my equipments. Then I also use a permanent marker and label the inside of the equipment, like under the battery cover. That way, if the label comes off, I still have a way to ID the stuff, and since it's hidden, no one will know it's there.
