La2kw's July dining report with pictures.

Hi!

Thanks for your trip report. I see that you're from California too. Can I ask what type of park admission did you have. I read in your report going to DQ for 1/2 a day and then heading to the park. We purchased 10 day no expiration hoppers, but if we went to DQ and a park, we would have used 2 tickets on one day.

Just checking to see what you purchased :)

Thanks,
Deb

Thanks for the great reviews, I really enjoyed reading them. The pictures were great and helped me in determining what I am going to eat on our upcoming 15 day adventure. We won't have a car or a fridge(staying at all-star) so we will have to endure Disney food the whole time. The water always makes me sick, thinking about sending down some bottled. :wizard:

We get Premium AP's and we stagger our trips so that we get two trips out of them. We bought our last AP's in on 7/16/06 and they expired on 7/16/07. Last year we started our trip on 7/16/06, and this year we ended it on 7/16/07. We paid around $400 for each pass with our DVC discount last year. If I divide that cost in half, it's like paying about $200 each trip for a pass that includes every admission at WDW. Our AP's just expired, and we don't renew them. We will just buy new AP's next summer and stagger our trips again.

We had Staples ship water to our resort, so it was there waiting for us when we arrived. If you are a Rewards member, you even get free shipping. I have the Teacher Rewards and so we got free shipping, but even if we didn't, the shipping would be cheaper than a taxi ride or car rental to the market.

Thank you for the reviews! I know that I am going to try LTT for lunch and Biergarten based on your report and pictures! Very helpful!!!

Thanks for the reviews - I especially enjoyed your Boulangerie Patisserie photo montage and the fact that you went back the next day for lunch! I don't think I could have waited another day. :teeth:

Great reviews with photos too! Thanks!

I thought maybe that's what you had. I tried to tell DH that's what we should have purchased but he didn't think we would go twice in one year ;) Well our trip is coming up in November and we just got back in January....

Airfare is going up now. We used to be able to purchase tickets at 223.00 from Sacramento, now we paid 318.00. We maybe going less now :(

Thanks for your response!

Deb

Chili's is not a Mexican restaurant, it's more of a grill. They do have some Mexican items like fajitas, quesadillas, tacos, and margaritas. It's similar to Applebee's if you ever been to one of those. It's not a buffet either. Prices are reasonable depending on what you order. They have anything from burgers to ribs to steaks and also salads.

Wow, those are the first pics that I've seen of Biergarten! Thanks! It has been difficult to envision what it's like. You managed to take pictures of all of the things that I forgot!

ROFL @ chicken thighs!!!

Thanks for the pictures and reviews - I'm seriously craving a pastry now ;)

Hey Disney, if you're not going to serve yakitori, don't call the place Yakitori House. Call it Chicken Thigh House instead. Thank you.
