Hi All:

I have signed on with LA Weightloss. I am signed up for 20 weeks for 40 pounds. Does anyone out there want a LA Weighloss buddy?

We can :hug: and encourage one another.

Hi Gina! I'll be the first to sign on! I'm finishing my 8th week with LA, and I'm down 21.8lbs as of Friday. :banana:

I'm signed up for a 68lb loss, so 34 weeks total. I think you'll really like their program...I've done really well following the "plan", and normally I'm a huge cheater! LOL

Have you done the Take Off yet? I lost about 5lbs my first week, so it was very encouraging. Good luck, and let me know how you do!

Hi Dani and everyone:

I have a very strong aversion to any kind of fruit juice, so I skipped that part and just started with the program. I started on Thursday, 1/5/2006 and when I went in today, I had lost 5 pounds!

I did not do a very good job getting all of my protein or fruit in so I will need to work on that.

I have to laugh...as I type this I have the fast forward drink on my desk. I've just had my 32 oz of that. For breakfast I had two eggs, and lunch was a huge salad of just the green veggies and grilled chicken, dinner is ground hamburger.

I'm not doing the LA lites as they make me sick in the tummy. But are you doing any of the other suppliments like the xcel or anything like it? That is amazing weight loss for 8 weeks...how did you do that?

I'm signed up for 22 weeks of weight loss. I have about 45 lbs to lose.

Hi Diane! Good luck on the LA program...it really is working for me. I follow the plan just about to the letter...I do sneak in the occasional french fry from my boys' Happy Meals, but for the most part, I'm doing really well. For the amount of $$ we've invested, I've got to prove that this can work to DH (and myself! LOL).

I do the LA Lite bars religiously....in the beginning, I REALLY looked forward to them at snack time. I also take the TriMax and fb500....they are for curbing your cravings for carbs and sweets.

I weighed in this morning, and lost another .6, so I'm down 22.2 overall, and I started the plan the week before Thanksgiving. I was nervous about today, because we had a family birthday party, and I had a 2x2 piece of cake (counts as one fat, btw) along with more pasta then I should have. :teeth: But, the counselors stress that you don't want to totally deprive yourself, because that's when binging and overeating can start.

So, I'm almost 1/3 of the way to my goal. I'm really heavy...I started at 272lbs (yikes!) and my goal with LA is to get to 200lbs. I was 250.4 today....I'm really excited to get under 250 for the first time since before my kids were born!

Congratulations!!!

This is not the first time I've done LA Weight loss. I did it right after I got out of college to lose 45 lbs, the same as in need to lose this time. It worked and I kept all the weight off, then I got married and got pregnant with two little girls back to back, now ages 3 and 4. So I have about 45 lbs I need to lose. Current weight is 175 and goal is 130. I was 130 last time I did it and wore a size 4, so I'll be happy to even see a 6. I did the take of drink yesterday and today and I lost two lbs from yesterday morning to this morning. I won't do the bars but I will do the xcel and there is another new one to shrink fat cells. I'll do both of those.

Best of luck...I'll go back tomorrow to weigh in and talk with the counsler. I'll let you know how the two days of take off went.
 
Okay, I have finished my first full week and I have lost...drum roll, please...
7 pounds!

I have a VERY hard time getting the fruit in each day. I have never been a fruit eater. I have been going through McDonalds and getting the apple dippers (without the carmel, of course) for a snack.

Ok...so I did the fast forward on Monday and Tuesday and went to weigh in and lost 2 lbs in the last two days. Today is day one on regular plan. I hope to lose more this week. I was hoping to lose more in the last two days, but I have to take it one week at a time.

Now I'm having a hard time with veggies, I'm not a salad eater and I miss the veggies most of the time. Fruit no problem, I had 1 pear = 2 fruits, and an apple = 1 fruit.

Hi Gina and Diane! Congrats on your weightloss! I lost .6 from Mon to Weds, so I finally am under that dreaded 250lbs, and down 22.8lbs total! yippee!

As far as getting in fruits, you can do a small glass of apple juice, or applesauce, or if I have a starch leftover, I'll have one of their biscotti cookies for dessert after dinner.

Veggies aren't usually an issue for me, because I do like salads, so I'll have one for lunch, then 2 veggie servings for dinner. Or, I'll have a veggie for a snack in the afternoon....carrot sticks or a stalk of celery or sugar snap peas (love those).

I've done really well this week....hardly any "cheating", so I hope I can lose another 1/2lb for tomorrow's weigh in. My brother's 30th birthday party is Sat night, though....I'll have to really watch myself, because SIL is having food, beer, cake, etc. I just have no will power at parties.

I'm right there with ya! I have no will power at parties or eating out. My oldest DD 5th birthday is coming up 1/22 and I'll have to be careful there. I'm also hoping to lose for tomorrow some more. I haven't cheated yet...but then I've only been on it since Monday. I like that we can support each other here.
 
Okay, I had a horrible day yesterday. I gave up and ATE last night. I was tired, hungry, bloated, cranky, my back hurt, well, you all get the idea. I ate again and went to bed.

I did wake up this morning with a slightly renewed spirit and a new determination to stick with my plan all weekend starting today (Friday). Wish me luck. My husband and kids will be home all weekend tempting me with bad things!

Hi girls! Gina, how did your weekend go? Actually, mine did not go well. Between my brother's party, and taking our boys to see the Monster Trucks (fun, fun!) yesterday, I gained 1.8lbs when I weighed in, today. Not very happy with myself, but I'm back on track, today.

I hope you both had better weigh-in results than me!

Ok...I have to admit I'm surprised how well I did this weekend. On Friday night we had Subway and I stuck with plan. Then on Sat. we went to visit a friend of my Mom's in the hospital and they she took me to Arby's again stuck with plan. Sat. night I thought I'd be toast as it was my Mother in laws B-day party however I had grilled Chicken and green beans, and that was it stayed away from everything else. Then last night the family wanted KFC so I broke out my little book and stayed on plan again. So I weighed in this morning and since Friday I lost another 2.6 lbs. so that from last Monday when I started takeoff to this Monday was a total of 7.6 lbs. That is motivation. Keep it up...we'll all get there.
 
Great job over the weekend, Diane. I was down 2.2 at my weigh-in, today, so I "undid" what I did last weekend! LOL

They did my measurements again, and I'm down 11.5 inches in 9.5 weeks! I was able to buy jeans a size smaller last week (most of those inches came from my waist and hips) so I was really excited about that.
