I'm making my own travel plans for the up-comming Western Panama Canal cruise in May. Basicly I plan to rent a car one-way to Port Canaveral and then fly home from LAX.
Because of our experience with DCL and the information available on these boards, I've got everything nailed down except for getting from the port in LA to LAX and WHEN.
Some basic questions:
Where exactly is the ship docking in CA?
(You can't exactly just type "LA Port" at mapquest.com).
When is the ship expected to disembark (I'm a little confused because when you plan a flight, times are always specified based on the local time zone. But once you get onboard, everything is based on "ship time" which is always Eastern Time Zone, yet because we will be moving from one side of the country to the other, I could see where that rule may not be followed for this cruise)?
