Is it worth it to purchase Cat 1 ?

Has anyone gotten front row seats ? How are they?

When we went, we sat about halfway up in the seating. These were actually wonderful seats because a lot of the "action" was happening at eye level. I would imagine that, because of the type of show, people in the front row seats are looking up a lot.

I think the entire theatre is engineered to give all good seats. We were in the middle--I can't remember the exact section, but it was not category 1--and they were amazingly good. The show's action is really in many places at once, so I think that wherever you sit is going to be pretty good. And it is a great show, by the way, certainly worth the hefty cost.

For Cat 1 seats, you'll probably want to be sitting somewhere in the middle of rows F or G in section 103

For Cat 2 seats, somewhere in the middle of rows EE or FF in section 204.

But yeah, all seat are good ones.

Personally, I would not want the first row. So much takes place "up high" that I'm afraid I'd have a sore neck by the end of the night. Plus, some of the action occurs in the aisle between the lower and upper section. You'd have to turn around in your seat to see it from the bottom section.

My preference is section 204 or 205. Last time, we were in row two of section 205 and the view was wonderful. The pre-show comedy took place right in front of us, and we had a full view of the entire stage.

I believe the first four rows in those two sections are tier 1 seats. If you wanted to save a bit of money, though, rows 5 and 6 would probably be good, too. I've heard there's not a bad seat in the house, but you'll always find me in the upper section.

200's are the best seats but really not a bad seat in the house.

I agree. There really is no *BAD* seat. I would go from the front area by the stage up to the middle of the arena though. Cirque is a great show. You will have a blast!

I have to disagree and say there are a few "bad seats", because we had them. We were in sec 201, row AA, seats 1-4 (see map above). We were partially obstructed and could not see some action on the left side of the stage.

We were aware these seats were not so great, we bought last minute, but we were disappointed, especially considering what we paid.

My advice is to stay away from the edges.

The show itself, however, is amazing and I highly recommend it. k

We sat in 204, rows EE or FF. Excellent seats. Higher is better than lower, otherwise you are looking up all the time. Wonderful show. :cloud9:

Generally speaking there really aren't "bad seats" that cause you to "miss the show" - however more towards the edges, you do have a more "extreme" angle to watch the show at, thus it is a different perspective. This is why they have "Category 4" that can only be sold at Cirque itself, and why Cat 3 is pretty cheap compared to the other seats.

Generally speaking though - The different sections do have their advantages and disadvantages. It's much like sitting in a movie theatre. Where would you sit? If you like to sit up front, you'll see a lot more intricate details, such as make-up and facial expressions, but you will be "looking up" during a lot of the show. If you sit farther back, you will have a better over-all view, however you may not see the same make-up and facial expressions as well. So it is totally up to your preferance.

You can watch the show many times, and still see new things.

Just returned and sat sect 104 row bb seats 1-4. Really great seats. I agree that I wouldn't want to sit to close to stage. Any where half the way up around the center of arena should be good.

After reading this thread, I decided to see what kind of seats were available when we will be there this fall. I shouldn't have done that! Now I want to go, because they were such GOOD seats. I'm trying to figure out a way (Disney Math) to go. I know TicketMania has reduced Cat2 vouchers. Has anyone used them? When are you assigned a seat number with them? Is there a chance I wouldn't get the good seats that came up on-line?

section 204 blue area i saw mystre in las vegas same set up have not seen this show yet.well worth the money to see the show

We have section 203 EE 18 and 19 which are pretty close to the middle and should be good seats. I have also seen Mystere in LV and agree that sitting back a little ways gives you the best experience because you can see the whole stage.

We purchased 4 or 5 months ahead of our trip and got row AA blues. I would do the same again, even if I didn't have to think twice about cat 1.
