I have seen La Nouba three times... not counting numerous times on television. It is fantastic....Have the cd too! Definitely worth the money, but I would suggest sitting in the second level...
Seen it four times!!! Started one year taking my Mom (she always wanted to see a Cirque show live - been to many since), then went the next year with my sisters, the next year took my brother and his kids, and last year I took my youngest DS and his DF (she really wanted to see it).
I've enjoyed it every single time!!! There's so much going on and some of the acts are unbelievable (especially the little chinese girls!!).
One note, this Cirque "house" show is one of the cheapest Cirque shows you can see. Even the travel shows can be more expensive and the house shows in Vegas are up there. Course I still enjoyed all of them!
Worth every penny... We have seen La Nouba countless times (being Florida residents) and everytime you catch something different. We have also seen O, Mystere, Ka, Zumanity, Delirium and Dralion once, Alegria twice and Varekai and Quidam 3 times. For hubby and I we would never pass up a Cirque show. We too started off a little hesitant to go because of the price, but we finally broke down and saw La Nouba. After that there was no turning back...we are totally hooked.
I agree with the other post, you can get GREAT seats in Cat 2 and save yourself some $$$$
Agreed, 3 times here also. Plus, in Vegas, -O- twice, Mystere and KA once, would like to see the new Beatles Love there too. I have tickets for the Chicago showing of Corteo next month. Excellent, nothing like it. And I agree, second level is the best.
We also loved it, all 6 of us!!! My DS7, that is ADHD loved it was totally amazed by it the whole time and was doing hand stands and cartwheels out in the lobby afterwards.
I agree with another poster, the second tier would be better seats. We were 3rd row at the end of the "U".
we (DH, DS, & DS's friend & I) saw it in May 03; we didn't get to see the entire show (2nd section) great view but the last act; someone from one of the wire acts (broke his leg or foot) ; so I'm excited about seeing the entire show this year in Nov.
I sure would like to be able to get the trumpet players autograph or a poster. As you can see from my signature; DS plays the trumpet - this is his 7th year; and is a Sr. in high school this year & plans to major in music ed & loves this trumpet player, his style, grace, tone & just sound . The guy has his own website & has designed his own trumpet & is working on building/making one. Awesome dude !
Without a doubt it is worth the money, We've only seen it once but plan on seeing it again during our August vacation. One of the best shows at the world.
