Has anyone tried this restaurant and would you recommend it? Thanks!

I too am wondering how the food there is. i noticed on the the dining plan for next year it will not be part of it

yes, and YES. We were there when it first opened in Oct, and it was so great. Could easily have been one of the best meals of our whole trip (and that's saying something!!!). I've heard they haven't finished listing all the restaurants that are part of the 2012 dining plan yet...so hopefully Hacienda's one of them!!! I couldn't imagine why they wouldn't have it on the dining plan....

Not all the contracts are final yet for the dining plan. There are always a bunch of hold-outs that wont make it official until next year gets closer. :thumbsup2

As for the food. I don't know yet. I have heard good things. My girlfriend and I will be checking it out in October.

My family tried it last month. I was a little unsure based on the menu, but my DW and I split the seafood platter for two and it was fantastic. The spicing on the shrimp was too much for my DW, and she is pretty resilient with regard to spice, so be prepared for a little more than a Disney-level of flavor. I liked it and would recommend it. It isn't my favorite WDW restaurant, or even my favorite 1TS restaurant, but I definitely enjoyed it.

We tried it a few months ago and shared a few appetizers and had some drinks. We didn't try any of the entrees though.

The only one I wasn't crazy about was...Chiles toreados y chorizitos - Roasted sweet peppers with lime and sea salt, served with mini "cantimpalito" chorizos(pork sausage) - $12.25

Everything else was great and our server was awesome! It was my husband's birthday and out of nowhere our server came with other servers and sang him a song. It was such a special surprise! I would definitely go back for another visit.

No worries. It seems to happen every year, the closer it gets to next year the more you will see people start to bug out like it's the apocalypse because a few restaurants aren't listed on the DDP. :thumbsup2

We ate there in Nov and were no impressed and dont think we will be back unless they have a menu change.

The chips were ok but the salsa was terrible

The queso fundito was gross...a thick glob of greasy cheese that was melted at one time but congealed again from sitting around

Very spicy shrimp tacos and we like heat but these were too much..the black beans and rice were just en and the pork mole lacked flavor
