La Hacienda

Got my dinner ressie for our Nov trip, so excited!

Just made my reservation for 1/11/11 (cool!). I was surprised by the "dining plan not accepted" notation. I highly doubt that to still be the case by January, but only time will tell!

I made my reservation for 7:30pm. I feel that we'll likely see the beginning of Illuminations as we are finishing dessert, and if we get seated on time and finish up quick, we'll pop outside. I am not sure how I feel about watching Illuminations from inside the restaurant anymore, since they aren't piping in the music :sad1:

Since they already have a TS location in Mexico that is on the DDP I would not mind seeing them not take the DDP.

It would free them up to be more creative and flexible IMO.

I know it will probably not happen, but I can hope.

Does anyone know what % of the tables will be able to see Illuminations? Would love to see any photos of the food/restaurant and a menu!!!!
Debsx;)

I called this morning at 7:00 and was told that they weren't accepting reservation yet that it would be later this month, but just made mine online for 12/11. Love the uninformed CMs on the other end of the line. You kinow what gets me is that we're paying for these calls and get useless and wrong info. Disney should have 800 numbers for the times when we get stuck with a CM who doesn't know something and we're on the phone for an hour with them. I spend an hour on the phone trying to upgrade my room only to a package. I tried to look it up on line later and couldn't get it, so I called back and said that reservation had been cancelled due to the fact I didn't put a down payment on it. I did with the original room only for $500 and was told that the money I had already put down would be tranfered to this reservation. It didn't.

A little off topic but why do we always know more than the CMs do? If I couldn't have gotten the day and time I wanted because I was given wrong info I would have been livid. Thanks for letting me rant.

It was reported that ADRs would open 9/16, but I've been checking every day just in case.

Got 8PM for November 18...can't wait!

Glad I saw this thread I had completely forgotten about the new Mexican Restaurant but I was able to get an ADR time for one of our Epcot nights in Nov for Illuminations:banana:

It is posted on the online reservation site that La Hacienda is NOT on the DP
More tables for those of us who do not use the DP:thumbsup2

This may not be correct, as there is other information indicating that La Hacienda WILL accept DDP. Reports from the restaurant during soft opening should be decisive one way or the other.

Just made a dinner reservation at La Hacienda for our October trip. Very excited - we LOVE Mexican food!! :yay:

Currently, when you make a reservation, the reservation page is stating that DDP is not accepted. I would keep an eye out for an announcement as to when they will be taking DDP, though.

Me too, because we will be using the Dining plan in May and I would LOVE to try this place. :) Maybe by then they will have added it.

Just made mine for Jan 5th 2011 hopefully we will be able to get an outside table to see illuminations!!!!!

Yes I got one for 8:15 on 10/18 They actually started taking the reservations while I was making others, so I am very excited.

Can you see Illuminations from inside or do you need an outside seat to view? I think R&C has a section they keep available for those inside to view also. Anyone get to experience it yet?

I was wondering this too - I read on this thread that someone mentioned the music won't be piped inside so I'm curious to know how this will work for those that do stay for Illuminations.
It should also be interesting to see how crowded this place right at close - in December Illuminations is at 9:30pm so I definately see lots of people sticking around after close to watch.

:)I just made mine too 8:15 Feb 9 it sounds like all the tables have a view of the fireworks does anyone know yet if this is true. It would be nice if it did, Epcot could use a cafe with a nice view.:)
