La Hacienda for dinner - anyone been?

We ate there last week (May 13th) and it was delicious. Our server (Sergio) was excellent he explained many of the items on the menu for us. I had the appetizer taco trio and it was enough for me (a lighter eater) DH had the flank steak and it was delicious. Very prompt friendly service.

I can't put a finger on it, but something has me unsettled about our dinner ADR at La Hacienda de San Angel. We've never been there, but I've checked the menu online. It looks pretty limited - 2 items to be shared by two, and then only five entrees. We're all pretty adventurous eaters (well, not so much DD9, but she'll be OK with the kids menu there).
Has anyone been there in the last few months and can give me an impression? I just checked and there's still ADR's available at Marrakesh (were there in '05) and Chefs de France (DH & I were in '09, but kids haven't been) so I'm thinking about changing it.

This was one of the best dinners we had this past March. We had 730pm reservations , got a window seat and had an awesome view of Illuminations. They raise the curtains and pipe in the music. My husband swears that the dessert he had was the best ever, sorry do not remember the name. The Margeritas were awesome and I had some flank steak taco meal which was very good too!!!

Thank you everyone! After reading the rave reviews, I'm feeling much better about this ADR. Usually we book everything at 180 days and leave it alone. This time, we booked the resort at 5 months out, changed resorts, later rebooked the new resort under a new code, and have changed a few ADRs too! What's gotten into me? Good thing we are going in about two weeks so I'll run out of chances to make changes. :rotfl2:

We have been here twice, first in November and then again in March. We really enjoy it! When we first went we were disappointed because there was no guacamole on the menu, but we asked and they did have it. I think they got it from the Cantina. We like it and would go back!

Too funny, we had the exact same experience. Our waitress did get it from the Cantina for us. You'd think they'd wise up and add it to the menu :-).

:rotfl2: hubby Nebo LOVES to "tinker" with our trips (as he calls it.) I'm always glad when it gets to be too late to change anything! when he starts a sentance with "Diane, I've been thinking....." I run away with my fingers in my ears singing la la la!
