Is this a sit down, gotta get a ressie only restaurant? Or can we walk up? My husband and I just want to sample one of the tequilla flights with maybe a small bite to eat with it? Thanks in advance!! :)

It is a bar area with some tables (not many) just inside the Mexico pavilion. The food looked to be like Tapas not a full menu. Not only did the tequila menu look good, but the food did too. Going to try it on our next trip :thumbsup2

You can't make reservations for La Cava. Think of it more as a lounge than a restaurant. The emphasis is on the tequila, and the menu is significantly reduced from what it was when it first opened. We were there a week ago and aside from a few tostadas and chips and salsa, there's not much in the way of food there.

Thanks for the info! We are definitely more interested in the tequilla than the food! :rotfl2: Only 17 more days...WOOHOO!!:banana::banana:

La Cava is awesome! Had some yummy snacks and even yummier tequila!
Here's a pic of the bar.. not the best pic but shows the great selection:

Can't wait to go back :thumbsup2

I love this place too. On our most recent trip, I got there at 11:30 so that I could get in line before they opened so that I could get a table. Two days later, the line at 11:30 was already too long!!!

What's included in that? Do you choose - or are the varieties pre-set?

They offer it as a special. I believe that on the days it's offered, the selections are predetermined. I've heard before that the margarita flight isn't offered on the weekends, but it isn't always offered during the week either. We were there on the afternoon of November 2nd, a Tuesday, and were told that the bar wasn't serving margarita flights that day.

No!!! My trip is ruined :( How could they get rid of their best (and most popular I was told) margarita?

I wouldn't let this news ruin your trip. We got it last week, so it must still be there. It really is delicious.

Any way of knowing WHEN it's offered?

I'm going to be at WDW the 10th-20th of December, though obviously we won't be hanging out at Epcot looking for drinks every day.

I'm not much of a drinker - I don't drink beer or wine, but I like an interesting mixed drink every now and then. And a Grand Marnier slushy.

I bet Kim Possible & the Story Tellers are real interesting after a Margarita flight!

 :cool1:

lol but from experience i will say mission space AFTER multiple margaritas is NOT a good idea.

Not going to be a problem. I'm old enough to know that spinning and alcohol do not mix. Just thinking about it makes me queasy.

So is there somewhere to get a schedule for the margarita flight? Or is it a bartender whim kinda thing?:rolleyes1
