La Cava del Tequila - Review

Hello all,

For those interested in attending an adults only Epcot After Hours Wind Down, we highly recommend La Cava del Tequila in the Mexico Pavilion. We did it last weekend and loved it.

I have this reserved for DH and I over Labor Day weekend. After hearing rumors about kids being there, I've been thinking about canceling, but now, I'm excited to go! Thanks for the excellent review. (Oh, and we will drink the mescal too!)

Thanks for your comments. We really enjoyed it and glad to hear you will be keeping your reservation. If you get Hilda hosting the event it will be lots of fun.

As for the no kids thing, we did not have any kids during our event however I just double checked Disney's site. They do not mention that kids are not allowed. If the Kid thing is a big issue for you, I would recommend you give Disney a call to confirm. However I really cannot see parent bringing their kids to this event and paying $35 per person. Not sure if that is even allowed.

Either way, you will have a great time. We are excited for you. We will actually be back at WDW Labour Day weekend too. maybe we will see you there.

I'd initially written these events off as overpriced and a bit hum-drum, but after reading your lovely review you might have changed my mind. Sadly, I don't think I'll make it back to WDW before September, but perhaps they'll do this again next year!

We thought the same when they first announced it to but decided to give it a go. We are so glad we did. The only thing I would recommend is that you book a ADR earlier in the evening to give you enough time between dinner and the after hours event.

Does anyone know if Epcot is still offering any of the afterhours events?

No, they have not extended the dates past November

The last date for wind downs was November 9. Apparently they do not mix with the holiday season. As to whether they will be back after that, nobody knows. I did La Cava and Rose & Crown, both were well attended.

I found this link that it will be back Fall 2015. Sounds like a good time for another trip... *Edited* Sorry, my bad. That's for the overall Food & Wine festival, not the After Hours.
