Does it have sit down breakfast? if not what restaurants in down town Disney do? We are meeting my grandparents for breakfast on the last day of our trip and were hoping to be able to meet in down town disney with out paying an arm and a leg for Rain forest is that the only sit down breakfast?:confused3

thanks for that link!

Does it have to be DTD? We have scheduled a breakfast at Steakhouse 55 at the Disneyland Hotel on our last day. The prices are fairly reasonable, and you can see the menu at All Ears. We heard great reviews here, so we are giving it a try.

also does anyone know where to get a good coupon for rainforest cafe?

La Brea has both a counter-service and table-service opportunities - we went counter service and just ate it outside in the shaded cover area. We only ate there for late lunch/early dinner meals so I can't say if they're breakfasts are any good but it's just like a general bakery type place.

SITDOWN Breakfast - http://allears.net/dlr/din/menu/men_breab.htm
SITDOWN B'fast Children - http://allears.net/dlr/din/menu/men_breacb.htm

Hope that helps a bit in terms of money and all that. It is a casual place to eat without paying too much...

I had seen one. It wasn't great. Not a dollar amout off or a % off, something like a free item.

Maybe in the OC entertainment book? Anyone heard of one like that?

The sit down side of La Brea Bakery is only open certain days, though I think in the summer it might be open every day. The counter service side does have an outdoor area to sit down and eat after you get your food. Both open at 8am, which often interferes with being at the park right at open. Catal and Rainforest also have a sit down breakfast, and the hotels of course (Storytellers in the GCH, Steakhouse 55/Goofy's Kitchen in the DLH, PCH Grill at PPH).

Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen has a sit down brunch on Sunday. They also have the Jazz Kitchen Express, which is really just a counter service meal, with a nice covered patio where you can sit and enjoy your meal and people watch in Downtown Disney. I've eaten at the Jazz Kitchen Express before and it was delicious and reasonably priced! They open at 8:00am for breakfast.

We love eating breakfast at La Brea, but we only have ever done the counter service. I love their yogurt parfait. They also have quiches, bacon and eggs, breakfast sandwiches, and lots of pastries. I'm sure there is more I just can't think right now.

The sit down menu should be on All Ears!

Are the meals at La Brea Bakery sit down large enough to split?

I think it depends on how much you can eat for breakfast. The Croque Madame is delish and I could not finish it - so sharing is an option. My son could no problemo eat the whole thing ;)

The sit down breakfasts at La Brea are wonderful! The Dobies do not split because we will usually have brunch there after a couple of hours in the park and are starving.

And they have MIMOSAS!!!!!!

We are just doing dinner. I checked out AllEars.net and with 11 to feed with different tastes this one had the most variety I felt. Because of the cost I wanted most of the adults to split meals. Probably sounds controlling LOL but taking 11 to Disneyland is a fortune in itself. WE LOVE DISNEY though so good times and good memories!

I am a DL regular and La Brea used to be my go to every AM before the park. In my opinion, over the past two years the quality and taste has gone WAY down and the price has gone WAY up. Last express counter meal cost me $19.00 for the breakfast sandwich, juice and a pastry. I would have no problem with the price, bit it really wasn't any good in my opinion. Two weeks ago, we decided to give the sit down side a try to see if it was any better. After looking at others plates and the menu when we sat down, I suddenly realized that it is the same exact food they serve in the express side, only MORE expensive!..we got up and left.

If you want a GREAT breakfast, head down a way to Catal. It was cheaper and 10 times better than La Brea. If the weather is nice, there is a second floor outdoor balcony that overlooks DTD. Breakfast cam out to about $18 with tax and tip each with drinks for an awesome relaxed meal as opposed to $19.00 for crappy counter food.

After eating at Catal twice, I am amazed at how many still flock to La Brea thinking it is the cheapest option!...my $.02 anyway!

Thanks...I will check Catal....we are doing dinner though. Do they serve dinner?

We like Catal's breakfast too. We sat out on the balcony and enjoyed the atmosphere. Steakhouse 55 (DLH) has a really good breakfast as well.

If you want something a little faster and less expensive, the new Tangaroa Terrace at the DLH serves breakfast. There were some items that we didn't care for (tofu bake, oatmeal cakes), but we did enjoy the pastry/muffin selection, the banana french toast, and the breakfast burrito wrap. The yogurt parfaits in the grab-and-go case looked good too, but we didn't try them.

I will third the Catal breakfast. Especially on a nice day when you are sitting outside on the second story people watching, listening to the DTD music. The food is really good and reasonably priced. Beware of the drinks. I remember the juice being like $5 and entree was around $11. :confused3 Very enjoyable experience.
