Looking for feedback or experiences with L+M rental cars
at Orlando airport.

Hows the counter service?
How are the cars?

Good/bad experiences anybody

Thanks

I have no experience with L&M and have seen mixed reviews on the board. The reason I chose Dollar over L&M was when I went to reserve on the L&M website, I noticed that it was not secure. In this day and age, for a corporation to request your credit information but not provide even the most basic of security was scary to me. I would rather do business with a company that is professional at every level - including their website.

I reserved a mid-size car last April from L&M and was very pleased with both the car and their service not to mention the good price. I am going with L&M again in November and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

I rented with L&M last February, President's Day Weekend. Checked my ressie the night before arrival and lo and behold.... my reservation was no where in their computer. (I had checked it several times in the month, and it WAS there). "We have no cars available...., this is Daytona 500 Weekend down here, and you'll be lucky if you can get a walk-up reservation for $40/day. " Basically, they "lost" my reservation so that they could give my car to someone else for big$$$. I went to the front desk to complain. There were 1/2 dozen people there, some with small children, with the same thing happening to them. They all had reservations, and all had been mysteriously dropped from the computer. We took a cab and used Disney transportation. My husband was not happy that I had tried to save a buck.... Live and learn I guess. Bad weekend to try to save some $$n I won't use them again.

There are more than just a few instances of L&M's simply refusing to honor reservations, posted on this forum.

A reputable agency, if it has no cars, will get you a car from a competitor at the same reserved rate.

Buyer beware. I don't have any good advice on how to force the issue, however if you both (1) have the guts and (2) have read the book "How I Turn Ordinary Complaints Into Thousands Of Dollars" by Ralph Charrell, you might get somewhere, like rent from someone else and hold them civilly liable for the difference.

Always get a written confirmation of every reservation, every purchase. If you don't know how to "print screen" you should not be doing business on the internet.
