L and M car rental?

Has anyone used this comapny at Orlando airport and if so how was it?

We used L&M Car Rental on our 3/02 trip and had no problems. They had the best prices and a decent selection of cars. I'd be interested to hear what others think as I've heard some negative things about this company.

I've used L&M 5 times over the last few years. I've never had a problem. In the past people have reported problems though I haven't heard any recent ones. I think the problems have occured mostly during busy seasons and I never go during a busy season. I have noticed the quality of their cars has gone down. I always rent economy or compact. I used to get a Nisson, on my last trip I got a Daewoo. The car looked all right and ran all right but it was basic transportation. They have never tried a hard sell on me. I will continue to use them because they are the cheapest onsite and I have never waited in a long line (or any line for that matter). Be sure to bring proof of insurance if you don't want to buy the additional insurance.

Thanks for the info BonnieA..and the insurance info as I didn't plan on buying their as our will cover. I just want cheap, reliable transportation and this is $30 less than anyother onsite comapny.

For the insurance info I photocopy the first page of my policy listing all the coverages/costs. They may take just your insurance card but seems like I heard somebody say they wanted more so I always bring the copy. Actually last month they didn't even ask me for it so you never know. In the past they have asked.
Also, not sure when your trip is but keep checking their rates even after you make you ressie. They may go down (or up).

I was told I need my entire declaration when I got to the counter. They added to ridiculous fees for not having it making them 20+ dollars more per day. I am glad I hadn't cancelled my backup ressie yet and went on to the next car rental counter.

We rented in December with no problems at all. We had no wait at the reservation counter, not questioned at all about our insurance (brought a copy of our policy but did not need it) and received a brand new, never rental mini van for the week. I was nervous about renting from them but after our last experience I would definitely try them again.
