Hi all,

We're looking at the Kyriad as a possible extra night before our 4 nights at the Santa Fe in October. We're getting the price at around £60 for the night, but ONE website I found it on (I forget which one!) said that DIDN'T include breakfast, whereas on others (Expedia, ebookers) they don't clearly state whether breakfast is included or not.....

Has anyone stayed there? Was the Kyriad breakfast included as standard? Am I missing something?

Thanks

its not included as standard - if it says no breakfast included, its room only - expedia, in their room booking option blurb, usually tell you if breakfast is included.

For my last booking in December my confirmation specifically stated without breakfast, but I ended up getting it included anyway. I specifically showed my printout. No idea if it was a fluke.

Thats what I thought. Thanks!

Interesting!!!! lol

So would people recommend the Kyriad? I've stayed in the Dream Castle and it was lovely.

We've stayed there a lot and really like it. Have no hesitation in going back. We've also booked room only and twice have had to pay for breakfast so be prepared if you do choose that option. Have a great trip.

Brill, thanks. How much was the breakfast? Were there any hot items? Just so we know the options.....

We've always liked the Kyriad, in fact it was my boyfriend's favorite off site hotel. But after a nightmare stay in December we will never go back.

Twice during that stay I had items disappearing from my room (one of them being a bag of pins, so certainly not cheap) and the hotel could not have been any less helpful. Totally apalling and horrible customer service.

As for breakfast, I can't remember any hot items. Well there was this toasting thing for bread, but that doesn't really count I guess.

Hi OP
Can I ask how many people this price is for?
We're looking at doing the same as yourself before our stay in The Santa Fe in October too :-)
But I'm getting prices of €150 plus!
We'd either need a family room or two rooms.

Thanks :goodvibes

Oh wow. Was there a safe in the room???

Ah it's just two adults and a 4 year old. How many people in your group??

Yes, there was a safe. Problem was that I was there for a pin event and the safe is really tiny. I had put the pin bag with the good stuff in the safe plus my tablet and then it was crammed full, I could barely shut it.

The pins that went missing were in a plastic bag with my camera charger cables on top of them. It was really not obvious that there were pins in there unless you specifically pulled the bag from between the larger bags and rummaged around in it.

In hindsight I should probably have put it in one of the larger bags. But I simply didn't think of that. I had put the cables back there in the morning and left. Still everything was in a bag. Hotel staff isn't supposed to go there.

The second disappearance was another plastic bag with coke, some chips and muesli bars. If it had been anywhere near the trash can I could have come up with a reason why that went poof. :confused3

I am fully aware the hotel doesn't have to reimburse me because I didn't put the items in the safe. But first claiming that they didn't know who cleaned my room, then strongly implying I was lieing to them and in the end simply walking away from the conversation are three total no-gos in my book. They didn't even deny responsibility, they flat out acted like this never happened and I made the incidents up.

Ah I see thanks :-)

There's 3 adults & 2 children in our group.
Last year I was able to book a night b&b only at the Cheyenne for about €80! Can't believe the difference for adding a 3 year old :-/.

Oh I agree, not acceptable at all!! Did you complain after? Email or something when home?

Your Cheyenne booking - did you do it via a website or with Disney directly?

C x

No I booked on Expedia. It was for Valentine's Day last year. And Elaine is right I can't do the same for this trip :-(.

I sent a letter, no response whatsoever. It was even in French, my boyfriend's mom helped me write it.

That seemed to be the trend of the trip. I sent an e-mail to Disney about two incidents during the trip (when trying to get my Disabled Priority Card a CM accused me of faking my medical certificate and I had a not so pleasant run in with Santa) which wasn't answered either.

It was supposed to be a relaxing weekend with friends and ended up being pretty much the opposite.
