This is the first time we are traveling to WDW with a dietary need.

I have spoken with the Chef at Epcot...she was very knowledgable and most accomodating.

We have also spoken with a manager at the Dolphin Fountain restaurant. He spent a great deal of time on the phone with us and was very interested in how he could assure us a "safe" meal.

I have read how accomodating these professionals are to special dietary needs but until I got on the phone , I had no idea how great they really are.

So, kudos to the WDW chefs.

That's really good to know. We plan on going with my entire family next year and 2 of my BIL's are diabetics. I'll have to remember that.

Great to know! I have always had good advice from all the resort restaurants when asking about MSG. Most of the WDW resorts claim NOT to use it!! Hope you have a great time, and don't forget to email that picture of the riddlers!

MOST chefs at WDW are very well versed in allergies and dietary restrictions. I have had mostly positive experiences. Remember, mention the dietary problems when you make your PS, call 3 days ahead to confirm, mention it to the person who seats you, mention it to your server. Get the chef out to talk with you. It's the best way to stay safe and encourage allergy and dietary education.
