Kudo's to Epcot Employees

The dad of a coworker was exiting Epcot at 9 one evening, and he collapsed of heart failure. There was an employee right behind them, and he immediately sprung into action and performed CPR until the Disney EMT's arrived to paddle him, and whisk him off to an area hospital. She has told me that had he not been at Epcot she is most certain he would not have survived. He is back home now, and has an extra piece of equipment (an implanted defribulator) and is doing well. Just thought I would mention it. I didn't get the CM's name, but sounds like he was a hero to somebody.

Wow. How scary. I am glad someone was able to help and me made it. I would hope that there are a large number of Disney CMs who are trained in CPR.

And I really hope that Epcot CM gets some kind of special recognition for his heroic actions.

That's Awesome!!! You hear all too often of people being afraid to get involved and assist others in need for fear of being sued or something...it's nice to know that there are those out there who are willing to take that chance for the sake of a fellow human being. That CM is a hero in my book!!

Thanks for sharing this posting this for us all to read. We have been hearing too often of late, about CMs not living up to the Disney standard, and this shows that there are truly caring individuals out there! I am glad that the father is doing well too! Thanks to this un-named hero!
