I know it's been posted that you get your dining rotation on your KTW card, but I still don't get it.

With the l/s combo we'll be picking up our KTW @ the hotel & that works on the ship, right? (I can't remember even tho we've cruised twice before! Must be getting old!  )

Where on the card does it give you the dining rotation for the ship? I looked on our cards from 2001 & I just don't get it. (Hopefully no one points out it's right in front of my face!):

Thanks.

The dining rotation is in a code on the right side of the card. For example on our 4 day Wonder cruise in Feb. our cards said

S2 PTAP Table 46

That meant we were on 2nd seating (S2) with the following rotation: Parrot Cay, Tritons, Animator's Palatte, Parrot Cay. Table 46 is pretty obvious.

If you are on the Magic you will have an L in your code for Lumiere's instead of the T for Tritons.

I don't think that means 2nd seating. I was just looking at my KTTW card today and wondered what that first code was. Mine was "F2" but we were on main dining....

OH WAIT....it just hit me. We were assembly station F....I wonder if THAT'S what it was. WDWLVR, were you assembly station S?

Still doesn't explain the 2.

Now, I KNOW our cards didn't have the rotation listed last time based on the terrific info. you provided.

I'm looking at the card which is our "Your Key To The World" card that has NONE of the stuff you listed above. Just an I.D. #, Dates of L/S pkg, name & "NTF" [whatever that means]

Again, I believe I'm right that you just use the same card from the land portion, but I don't get how your card then says your ship dining rotation already. I know it's been posted that you don't get new cards upon boarding or even have to wait in lines at the port (even though we didn't realize this the past two times & did it anyway!).

Do you think the dining rotation on the card is something that is relatively new? Definitely not on our past cards.

Hmmmmmm......mine says.......S3-TAPT table 58 from my 12/01/02 Wonder sailing. The s3 must mean station 3. We all know what seating we are at the time of booking unless you are on a wait list for a different seating.

From what I understand, only the cruise-only KTTW cards have the dining rotation on them. They do not have the dining rotation listing on the Land/sea KTTW cards.

I have mine from the land/sea and I don't have that either. I do remember being told back then that it would say that. But I think we had tickets waiting in our cabin that had our info on them when we arrived. Ours has RPA on the card and I thought maybe that was it but I don't think so if you have something with an NTF. We changed from late to early when we boarded so I don't know if we would have had a different rotation that what we were origionally given or not. Since you are on the land/sea, you are probably on Disney transportation and will not get there during the madness anyway. Your tickets should be in your room when you arrive with dinner info.

I noticed everyone listed their cards as being F# or S#.

I'm thinking F is for First Seating, S is for second seating.l

I agree that F= First or Main Seating, S= Second or Late seating.

I think I cracked the code on the number after. Looking back at our last three cruises where we had a different rotation every night. My assumption is that:

1 = Starting in Animator's (the little kids rotation)
2 = Starting in Parrot Cay (the older kids rotation)
3 = Starting in Tritons or Lumieres (adult rotation)

Ohiominnie - does that make sense based on your F2 - were you first seating that started in Parrot Cay?

RPA on you card means Disney bus transportation to the Resort, then Port, then Airport.

I'm assuming NTF means no transfer.

When we sailed in Feb. we didn't buy transfers because we got in a day early and rented a car. Our cards had an N on them (we were cruise only). We bought transfer back while board and they put PA stickers on our cards (which I assume means port to airport). In May we did have round trip transfers and our cards say PA as well.

EUREKA! That's it! We were first seating, starting in Parrot Cay!! :) You're a genius! I'm glad we're sailing together on the 10 day, I may need your help!

BUT if you want another rotation or request a particular serving team, you need to go to Dining Room Changes during Embarkation.

Yes, I guess that with the l/s you don't get your dining rotation it sounds like. The NTF must mean 'No Transfers' because we DID drive down last time.

I don't remember getting any other cards in my stateroom & knowing me (a Disney packrat) I'm sure I would have them in my stuff & I don't. Not even one out of five. I only have these KTW that originated @ the on-site hotel. Also, the dates on them are from the start of the l/s to the end.

Oh, well, guess I gotta wait until I get onboard to get our rotation. I guess my biggest question is then, how do I 'rush' to make Palo reserv. when I don't know where I'm gonna be each night?

What you get in your stateroom looks like a ticket to a sporting event or play. You get one for each member of your part. It lists your state room, table number, name and then your dining schedule. You usually bring it the first night and hand it to the Head server who will hand it back and tell one of the servers your table number. They then escort you to your table. We always save these (and everything else we get) to put into our cruise scrapbooks.

RPA means you have transportation for 3 legs of trip.

R - Resort
P - Port
A - Airport

Thanks. But I still don't get HOW we can rush to Palo's as soon as we board if we can't get into our room right away. Anyone have any suggestions or tips?

We did a back-to-back one time with a land/sea against a 7 day. We went to the cruise check-in even though we didn't have to to ask a few questions. They gave us new kttw cards with the dining rotations on them. That's one way to find out - at least before you try to book Palo's
