Is it acceptable to punch a hole in your KTTW in order to hang it from a lanyard? Will a CM on board do it for you, and where would I go to have it done?

Thank you!:earsgirl:

From what I understand, a hole punched in your card signifies that you cannot charge on the card. So I wouldn't do it!

I read on another thread that they do have hole punches at guest services and will punch it for you if you want.

I believe that punching through the computer bar code is the way that you can stop your kids from charging, so you would have to be careful that you didn't punch in the wrong place.

I would just wait and have them punch it there at guest services. Just my opinion though. (Would also save you from having to pack a hole punch since you now know they can do it for you.):smooth:

you can also get a lanyard with a clear pocket that will carry the KTTW card as well as ID when needed so punching necessary.

Where does one purchase such a thing? Onboard?

Also, sort of related...do they sell those "wet wallets" onboard also? I've been looking for them around town and can't find anything.

the lanyards we have came from our TA. It is a Disney Lanyard, heavy material with a velcro closure for around the neck. Nice sturdy clip to hold the clear sleeve. I have heard wal-mart and the like have the clear sleeves to put on them. They also sell lanyards onboard that had a sleeve, but the clip was very flimsey and did not hold well. I would bring a safety pin to use that one. They were $8.00

They do sell the water wallets on the ship, I forget the cost, probably around $8.00 or so. They have the DCL logo.

Here is also a link to purchase one online prior to leaving.

I got my lanyards at Wal-Mart for $.97. Then I decorated them w/ permanent markers and Disney stickers.

I got my "Keep it Safe" (waterproof one) at Sea, Sand and Sport for $7.99. Not as cheap as the site from The Wog, but probably the same once you add S&H.

They had about 7 different solid colors as well as the clear and colored clear ones. HTH

Could you give me an idea of the measurements? I was looking at the site, but not having much luck deciding what size ws best.

Hello sweet angel

Mine is the same as the one in the link from TheWog. It's measurements are:

Keep-It Safe®
Size: 2.7" wide x 4.3" high x 1.3" deep
Features: Solid Color / Nylon lanyard with breakaway clip (or carabiner) / Portable size / 250% larger than Surf Safe® / 6 colors
Function: Waterproof container for several small items.

My plans are for it to store my KTTW keys, driver licenses, copies of our passports, some cash and a sunblock stick. I put it in there to try it out and it all fits.

It floats, so you can wear it on top of the water snorkeling or stow it in a gear bag somewhere. I don't know really how waterproof it would stay if you took it underwater, since it only has a small rubber seal and a pressure-latch kind of system.

Good luck!
