KTTW card transfer from WDW to DCL

I have read that if you are on the Disney land/sea package your Key card follows you from WDW to the ship.

Can it work in reverse and can the same be done if you are just staying at WDW resort on your own?

We are arriving one day early and staying at OKW. We are then on the 4 day Cruise and upon our return we are at BWV for 3 days to join other family members for our annual family gathering at WDW.

I was thinking about the same thing Bob. As soon as DW gets off the phone, I'm going to call DCL. I'll let you know what they say.

Unfortunately the answer is no. It must be booked as a land and sea vacation in order to use the same KTTW card.
