kttw card for kids

Hi - I have a question about the onboard cards for kids. We are leaving on the Aug. 16, 2003 cruise - I need to know if the cards can be a non-charge type room key. We have a 8 & 11 year old - I don't trust the 11 year old - he would lose it in no time at all or buy everyone he meets a gift. I still would like them to be able to sign themselves in and out of the activites. Please let me know any ideas that you might have.

In your documents there is a form to fill out with who you want to have charging priviliges. I always stop at Guest Services also when I board just to make sure that the kids' cards are room only...no charging.

You should not have a problem. This will not affect their ability to sign themselves in and out of the club.

You do have to go by guest services and remove charging privileges for children, if you want them removed. Unfortunately everyone gets them, even if not listed on the forms. They punch a hole in the no charge cards. I had planned to put my older child's card on a key ring, but they said if I punched a hole, it wouldn't be accepted for chaging(and he did have privileges) I have not seen that mentioned before on this board...but if you want a child to use a key ring/lanyard....make sure it has a plastic sleeve so you don't need a hole in the card.
