We will be staying at the Poly before embarking on our 7-day Eastern cruise. I was wondering if we will keep the same KTTW card onboard and if we check-in at the hotel instead of at the terminal? When we first sailed in '98 and did the land/sea, we checked-in (for the cruise) at the hotel. On our last visit (2002) we did the 7-day western followed by a 4-night stay at the GF. In that case we had to get a new KTTW or resort card. What happens if you stay at Disney first and then cruise without it being a "true" land/sea vacation? Thanks

You will have two seperate keys...the only time you would have one is booking a land/sea deal with Disney.

We got the same answer as we are staying at OKW the night before our sailing and it would have made check in so much easier.

You only get ONE KTTW card if you book the land/sea together. It would make it so much easier to do one check in. I guess they figure because we save money doing the land/sea seperate... WDW won't give us that option.

9 weeks to go.

I'm still sad. Does anyone know what time the buses pick-up at the hotels? Has anyone ever been picked up from AK before the crusie?

DonnettaR,

We just got back last Thursday and we did the land/sea package with DCL transfers. We had the option to get picked up at our resort (CBR) at 12:45 or we could go to the Animal Kingdom and catch the DCL bus at 12:30. We opted for the Animal Kingdom option and that got us to the ship at 1:45.

We were fortunate enough to have the one check in at the resort, but the terminal was almost empty when we got there. I don't think you'd have much of a wait if you did need to check in there. The only downside I could foresee is you'd more than likely miss out on the ressies for Palo and the spa.

Hope this info helps!!:wave2:

When you book the land and sea separately the ressies are not linked and that is why you cannot do one check-in....when you book a land/sea package then its booked as one reservation so only one check in.

It is really no big deal to check in at the port....it all goes very smoothly and they will answer any questions you have before you board.

Thanks for the information. Just wanted to reduce waiting in line. Since this is a 7-day cruise, I thought the lines for check-in would be longer since most people are coming straight from the airport. I'm staying at the Poly. Does anyone know what time DCl picks up from there. Thanks again.
