KTTK booked for my entire week at 60 days out??

I am at a little less then 60 days till Disney and called to make a reservation for KTTK tour. Unfortunately it is booked solid for the ENTIRE week. Everything I have read has said it people booked less then a week before hand, many the day of.
I am disappointed it was what my DD asked for for her 16th birthday gift
But a trust the Pixie Dust and will call back everyday and check availability.

If you're going in October that's Food & Wine season which is a prime-time for adult groups heading to WDW. Those groups also tend to book up the KTTK tour well in advance as their Food/Wine plans are usually locked in early.

I took the KTTK tour a few years back in October and noticed that my tour was sold out before 60 days as others tried to reserve to join me.

You can book tours earlier than 60 days out. I booked our KTTK tour for September 24th the first week of June. I called to try and add another person to our tour a couple of weeks ago, and it is also sold out now.

The tour is what my DS wanted as part of his 16th birthday present. Both of my boys were excited about turning 16 to go on this tour

I have planned everything so far in advance but never saw any indication i needed to book this tour at 180 days. I dropped the ball and am very disappointed with myself. My daughter was really looking forward to it.

How large is a sold out tour?? is it 15 people 20, 30?

I think sold out is 20 but they do multiple ones per day so more people can do it in a day.

We got lucky when we went and our group was only 8

If they still have the Marceline to Magic Kingdom tour, that may be a nice alternative. It's a shorter tour and doesn't go to the utilidoors, but it's still an enjoyable and informative tour, especially if you're a fan of the Haunted Mansion

Sorry it's sold out We booked ours at 180 days out, which I'm glad we did since it appears most dates/times we are there are sold out. Keep checking, you never know if someone will cancel! Good Luck!

Could you do the Backstage Magic tour instead? I was debating between the two for dd and me on our trip.

The Backstage tour includes Epcot and DHS along with the MK. I know it doesn't go as in depth at MK, but reviews I've heard are pretty good for it.

You have to be 16 for that one also.

Tours book 180 days out, so there was a lot of time for other people to get in on it. Your best bet would probably be to wait for week-of cancellations. It's pre-billed and you have to cancel a day or two in advance, so there will probably be at least one person who does that.

We've tried to book KTTK for several trips, this time we booked our trip around getting KTTK (ok we added 1 day arriving earlier) but still adjusted.

We did the backstage tour one year when we couldn't get it, it was pretty good and although most costly might be a good birthday alternative.

We just booked the Backstage Magic tour. A bit more $$ and time than we wanted to spend though.

Going to keep checking to see if we can get on a KTTK instead. We have until 2 days before our Backstage Magic to cancel if we get lucky on KTTK.

Update - been calling every few days & still no luck. CM on the phone suggested upping the calls about a week before our trip. I guess there is a better chance of a cancellation closer to the date.
