I'm gonna spend 20 days next January in Orlando between Disney Parks, IOA, USF, SW, BG. :cool1:

My kids are 11 and 8.

DH would really like to visit Kennedy Space Center, but I don't know if the kids would like... :confused3

What do you think ?

Any advise/tip woul be very helpful ... ;)

We went to KSC on our last trip. Everyone really enjoyed it. Our kids are 16 and 12.

You have to be willing to sit a lot and pay attention to get anything out of most of the presentations. We found it to a be a welcome rest in the middle of an otherwise busy trip.

what I didn't like - is the planes and other things.

at Huntville you can walk around in these things and touch them.

at KSC they have armed guards. You can't learn anything when you can't even get near the exhibit.

Thanks ! :goodvibes

Spiceycat : I think that the must for us, would be getting near the exhibits.

My kids don't speak english and the older one understands almost everything, but to DD8 I think it would be very boring ...

Well, I still have to decide if going there it would be a good idea ...:confused3

We went WAAAAY back in 1990 when I was 10 and db was 6.

We (the kids) were NOT IMPRESSED.

I think my parents enjoyed it becuase they knew the history around space travel, but to us it was just a bunch of old stuff. All I remember is a bus driving us around looking at a bunch of old metal things from a distance. I am sure my parents didnt pay extra for much.

Had I been older, I would have understood more of what I was looking at. But for young children, I would think you would want to prepare them better than my parents did!

Keep in mind this was 15 years ago, the tours and information given may have totally changed since then.

Staci :flower:

I have never been there, but I was wondering exactly what you said.

Thanks for your help, I think I'll let my kids grow a little before taking them to KSC.
