Obviously, the Kennedy Space Center closes during shuttle launches (I noticed they closed today at 12:45 for a possible evening launch).
I notice there is a scheduled shuttle launch for the very early AM (4:50AM I believe, with a 10 minute launch window) hours of August 18. I'm not inclined to try to get to the launch, but does anyone know if the Space Center tours would operate that day?
