KSC - Getting there without a car

I posted a while back about getting to KSC without a car for my Dad and everyone helpfully pointed me in the direction of some tour companies however my Dad does not want to go on one of them because they are such long days. So my question is does a regular bus exist that he could get there and back on? That way he can come and go as he wants. Thank you.

No bus service to KSC as far as I know. Just the tour Ops.
