I saw the "pay as you go" wireless display at Dillon's today and I was just wondering if anyone uses this service and if you are happy with it or not?

DD has been begging for a phone for her birthday and while I don't really think she *needs* one, if we do decide to get her one, it will be a pre-paid or pay as you go variety so she can demonstrate some responsibility with it before we upgrade her to be part of a family plan.

Their prices seem really reasonable but I'm not too familiar with their network or service.

TIA!

I read the reviews for them online and they were horrible. DD wants a keyboard and Tracfone didn't have them so she's been looking for a cheap plan. She did tell me that Tracfone has two new phones with easy texting so that is what we will probably go with.

I've used Tracfone for almost 10 years and I have been very happy with their service. I have good coverage just about everywhere I have been (including Disney ;) ) Anyway - they just came out with 2 phones that have QWERTY keyboards - one that is touch screen and one that is kind of like a blackberry - that one is only $29.99. Though these 2 phones aren't available everywhere - you have to put in your zipcode on the website and if they are in the choices of phones you are good to go :thumbsup2

I went to order the touch screen one for DD (we saw it this am) and it's gone! I wonder if it's sold out or really wasn't available to begin with. Looks like we will go with Virgin for her, so she gets the phone she wants with unlimiting texting.
