Kroger - I really need to pay more attention to their sales...

I went to Kroger today to pick up a few things to get us through the weekend (I don't usually shop there because I think they are pricey), but man, they were having some great sales if you have a Kroger card (which I do). Rice a roni were 10/$10, as were the bags of mini oreos, mini chips ahoy, mini nutter butters and mini teddy grahams. I checked expiration dates to be sure everything was good, but I stocked up on both items. The sweets are to have around for the kiddos when they want cookies and for our trip to the beach. I love cookies at the beach for some reason (weird I know). I also bought a container of Kroger brand mint chocolate chip ice cream and it's not bad. I will definately be paying attention to the flyer I get in the mail once a week that I usually throw away!

Not everything that is on sale in the store is in the ad, I've learned MANY times! So I make sure I always bring my coupons with me every time and always build in a little more $ into my budget for things that I didn't plan on buying but were a good deal on sale. Same with time, I always try to build in some time to walk up and down the aisles. You can defiantely get some good deals, especially with coupons.

Kroger is fantastic ! I love them! Every once in a blue moon they'll do a saturday sale where everything Kellogg's is 1/2 price. Seriously. And they do alot of "stock up sales". Like the PP said, not everything is in the flyer....so you really need to walk the aisles.
they also do alot of "if you buy 8 get $__ off". this is VERY handy and a good time to stock up. I got Classico Spag. sauce for $ 1.49 on this kind of sale. Plus, when the do these buy 8 or buy 10 you can mix and match with other brands that are also on this sale. All you have to do is get to the amount.
You can also go out to www.cellfire.com and create an acct and load your Kroger card. when you log in, you can add coupons directly to your Kroger card. (they auto scan when you buy the appropriate product). Also, on Kroger's website, create an acct....they also have digital coupons. And if you sign up, you get fantastic coupons in the mail from Kroger. www.coupons.com also has great coupons that you can print off.

I could go on for days for my love of Kroger ! The sales at Kroger and CVS help keep us stocked up on what we use all the time at a low price.

I check Hip2save.com and savingsaddiction.com.. They post the best deals at different stores.. They do all the work, we get the deals...LOVE IT! Savingsaddiction does Meijers too, since its regional.

I didn't shop Kroger that much either b/c I always thought they were expensive. I started using coupons and now I LUV Krogers. Just this week, I bought 20 boxes of the Kool-Aid Singles for FREE!! The kids love it in their water and I'm going to take several boxes with us on our September trip.

And if you sign up, you get fantastic coupons in the mail from Kroger.

Ohhh I miss Kroger's. Those coupons they mail you for registering your card on their website were THE COOLEST perk!!! They're personalized to what you've been buying! I couldn't figure out for the life of me why I was getting them, until I finally was reading some stuff online and was like OMG no wonder no one else knew what I was talking about, since I registered the same week I got the card when I moved to OH, and they'd probably had their cards forever.

Stores here aren't bad, but I miss Kroger. Enjoy your shopping!

We don't have a Krogers, wish we did just for more competition

Many area stores have dropped their prices in the last 6 months or so, so I've increased my comparison shopping. For example here Rice-A-Roni is 99 cents now (89 cents for store brand) Double check your other area stores.

I do my match ups with www.couponmom.com. she's got region-specific ads, which helps me a lot!
