I bought 10 camp cards from my son that have a $5 off $50 purchase at kroger. Does anyone know if I can use this coupon for gift cards specifically?

It doesn't say there are any limitations on it, I was just wondering if anyone else had used the boy scout camp card discount.

I know technically it's not saving me a lot of money but he dis get $25 towards summer camp, so every little bit helps right?

I tried and it wouldn't work. The cashier tried to input it but said it didn't work on gift cards. It doesn't have it in the exclusions though so I figured it was worth a try.

There is a simple work-around on this. Simply buy your groceries $50 worth and purchase a gift card. If you were going to buy your groceries anyway, it works out for you, maybe even better. $50 in groceries and a $25 gift card. If you mentally applied the $5 towards the gift card it would be a $25 GC for $20 out of pocket.

Yes that works that way. My boy scout coupon is actually 10% off of $100 in groceries. I was trying to purchase gift cards in conjunction with $75 in thinking the total would then be over $100. I was really hoping I could use these to buy Disney gift cards to pay my DVC dues but it doesn't work.

You all were right - it can only be used for groceries. But I'm going to count it as $50 off stuff I buy anyway at Kroger every week and put that towards our vacation money!

Wish ours were $5 off $50 instead of $10 off $100!
