Hey everyone!!
So, I have been reading along for the past few months as we were trying to make a decision on whether or not to have a Disney wedding. We are not exactly the best at making decisions about anything (as you will probably figure out as you read along
) so reading all of the threads and posts has been very helpful..thank you all very much!!!
The good news is WE FINALLY MADE A DECISION! We are having a Wishes wedding on Friday April 26, 2013 at WP and GF! And since I found it so helpful to hear all the stories and planning, I decided to join and write my own PJ (I think this is the write abbreviation, but Im not actually sure ). And since making decisions isnt really my forte, I thought you guys could help me!!
So here it goes
My name is Kristin and I am originally from PA. I live in NC now with my fiancé, Aaron and our dog Sidney! Aaron is originally from CT but moved to FL when he was 12.
I was lucky enough to grow up going to Disney World every summer during the 4th of July. My dad was part of a meeting that was put on at the Yacht and Beach Club. I loved going there, the Yacht Club felt like a second home to me. Aaron went to Disney frequently since he didnt live too far away (lucky)! Needless to say, we love Disney and find every excuse to make a trip down there!!
How Aaron and I Met and the Proposal:
I went to school in Florida (Disney truly left an impact on me that I had to move closer!) and at the start of my junior year (and his freshman year) Aaron and I met. We both were on the swim team and met at one of the first practices. We were great friends from the beginning. To make a long story short, a few months later, Aaron and I started dating and 5 ½ years later we are still going strong! We moved up to NC from FL in 2010 because I was starting grad school (I will be graduating 2 weeks after our wedding ahh!). We had been talking about getting married and knew that one day we would. My three best friends from high school all got married in the summer/fall of 2011 and so we both caught the wedding bug (and I caught the bouquet at one of their weddings!! So Aaron had no option now
). Last October Aaron and I had gone for a hike at a nearby lake with Sidney so she would have the chance to swim. We had a picnic lunch on the beach and after we finished, Aaron stayed back near our blanket and I went and played with Sidney closer to the water. I came back a few minutes later and Aaron wrote in the sand Marry Me? He got down on one knee with the ring and asked me to spend the rest of his life with him. Of course I said yes!!
And now our wedding planning begins!!!!
Our room block is due Tuesday. Let the stress of wedding planning begin . (Im excited to share it all with you!!) Has anyone had any luck negotiating prices on the room blocks??
P.S. How do you add pictures? I just want to add some pictures from my computer and it's saying I have to use a URL to insert an image. Hmm...

Im not the best negotiator but I have been working on it over the past few years with little things here and there. I havent completely given up on my negotiations, but its looking pretty grim. Bummer.
