KrispyKreme

I'm beginning to wonder whether there might have been two different meets at Tiger Jack's. I remember meeting Tigercat (and her progeny), Tony & Debbie (disneykins), and Baboo, but I don't recall anyone else being there. And I don't think we had more than 4 or 5 families represented.

I can't believe my memory's that bad. :(

I think you are right, Mike, because I know I didn't meet Kathy (Baboo) and Len until the Toronto Island meet.

I believe our memories are still intact! LOL ;)

My name is Wayne. I was by myself. I remember Mike I think and maybe Darren and Lisa. Wasn't there someone who has Mickey Mouse ears on their car antenna? Maybe I was hallucinating. I was the one that had been to Disneyland Paris and TokyoDisneyland and probably rambled on and on about it. :)

I agree with Gillespie, and I like the point about the polluting cars that someone brought up. Why don't people park their cars? Oh yeah, that would involved walking! Some of the Tim's drive-thru line-ups extend down the street.

You're right, there were two meets at Tiger Jacks, one we sat at barstools with Baboo and her family, Tigercat and hers and MikeJ. At the next meet we had a long table and Julie, Wayne (loved your Disnyeyland Tokyo stories) and another London family were there, DSNYFAN, I think.

On the Krispy Kreme issue, I did my part to reduce pollution and got them on the way home from work at 2:30 this morning. Only 3 cars in line!!! They're good but at $7 a dozen, I dont think I'd line up for them.

well, i know i wasn't there for either meet LOL . 1st one i wouldn't have known there was such a thing being a newbie to wdw and the dis:rolleyes: i remember reading something about the 2nd but wasn't able to attend. would love to meet you all but a saturday is out for me. maybe a sunday?
kathe

Lisa and I were at the second meet we have the mickey antenna topper on the car and DSNY FN liscence plates. I was given a 17 dollar voucher for the donuts on Friday as well and since we don't eat them I took them to work with me. Funny thing is they still had a dozen left the next day when I went in and alot of people didn't care for them now I brought in 2 dozen Timmies donuts and they were all gone in about 15 minutes. I know what donuts rule the London Best Buy store

It's been a big year getting a Best Buy and a Krispy Kreme. I like the Best Buy - bright and open. It made me realize how dark and cluttered Future Shop is - and unappealing.

Unfortunately, Wally World has been sold. Bob Martin at the driving range told me that it won't be open next year, so I need another place to practice my drives.

Hey, Darren. You work at Best Buy? Cool. I've been in a couple of times, but haven't noticed your car/plates. ;)

We've never done a meet, but I know that Katholyn is interested in coming to a "London" meet. I don't think KK is where we'd want to meet, though, with us WISH members! lol

We drive a Chev Malibu with a mickey antenna ball on it you have probably seen it around town it is Burgundy with dark tinted windows and it has been lowered about 2 inches. I used to work at the front door in Loss Prevention got to wear a nice bright yellow shirt now I am in the Computer Dept stop in and say hi. As for a London Dis meet tell me when and were and Lisa and the kids and I will be there. Also the owners of Wally World the Spivacks have a new site planned for Wally World and have hired a waterpark designer from Florida to come in and design it so I have heard.

DSNY FN--I have seen your car before. The first time though was in a picture that a friend of mine at work took. She was following you one winter day and noticed your licence plate. She had one picture left on her film and she photographed your licence plate because she knew I would love it. She's gonna think I'm nuts when I tell her that the person who drives that car frequents the same Disney boards as myself.

I didn't realize that there were so many of us Disney freaks here in the London area. No wonder the kids are always noticing Mickey balls. It's a new past time for us.

Last week at the University Krispy Kreme gave the Shinerama campaign hundreds of dozens of donuts to sell on the Tuesday and then on the Wednesday they had over 6000 donuts on campus to be given away. I think I have about two dozen left in my freezer. I don't care for them much buy my DH and my DD love them. I don't think anyone from work went there for the opening because you say KK and our stomachs roll.

Have a great weekend everybody!!

Susan

Since I've become a KK junkie ( thank goddness the closest is in Mississauga, 2 hrs away), I tried many of their flavours and I think the flavored type are just toooooooo sweet, I think that's why some many Canadians prefer Timmies over KK.Timmies does "cake donuts" better. BUT nothing, absolutely nothing campares to KK's "Original glazed, hot off the line." MMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmm

So if it's a Boston Creme, Maple Glazed or Apple-fritter off to Timmies, I go!
But for a hot piece of heaven........2 hr to KK.:smooth:

Hi Susan that is to funny about your friend taking a picture of our plate for you to see. When did she take it and where just out of curiosity? I hear you on the stomach rolling thing they are to much for my stomach to handle. I have 1 and my stomach feels like it has a lead weight in it. So when is the London meet going to be we organized the last one at Tiger Jacks so someone else can step up to the plate now hehehe.

Funny thing ... I just finished putting the last few of the dozen KK's we bought yesterday into baggies into the freezer. And, I didn't even eat the last boston cream one (although the thought did cross my mind) !!! I have to say that their grand opening was great fun. W e were less than 10 minutes in the line, each had a donut of course, then the kids were invited over to the "dipping station" where they received yet another donut that they could hand dip into the chocolate all by themselves. Also got balloon animals and KK hats to boot! I thought that the line-up would have been a lot worse, but I guess a few more have opened up since those hour-long waits in Mississauga last year!

Darren, we live in White Oaks and have yet to venture into Best Buy -- our 2 kids are not much fun in a store like that  But when we do, I'll be sure to stop by and say Hi.

Mary Liz

Mary Liz I grew up most of my life over in White Oaks I lived on Elvira Cres over by the Fitness Forum and went to school @ White Oaks Public school after grade 6 that is and being bussed to Princess Elizabeth because I lived on the wrong side of Bradley to go from grade 3 on. Stop in and see me I am now in the computer dept.

Talk about "Its a small world", we live in White Oaks too. Sounds like we could have our own Dismeet. On that topic, we checked out upstairs at the new Loblaws (in the same parking lot as KK), and we could possibly do a Dismeet there on a Sunday, it wasn't too busy but there were two guys playing guitars so it might be too noisy. Another possibility might the White Oaks mall food court. Or even our old standby, Jack Astors. Anyone have ideas for dates?
Tony

Jack Astors or Tiger Jack's sounds good. As long as it has a Jack in the name. :)

A weekend around lunch time would be nice - before the bad weather sets in or in the spring.

So when are we going to meet? Just post a date Saturdays are best for Lisa and I.

We were thinking November 8. Its a Saturday, Julie will be back with pictures and its before the weather gets too unpredictable (hopefully). White Oaks mall food court would probably be too busy on a Saturday so what about Tiger Jacks again. I'm going to put this on a new thread to see how many people can make it and maybe book it in a few weeks.

The date looks good. I'd just as soon avoid White Oaks food court. It can be a zoo. A nice quiet corner of a restaurant, at either of the Jacks, sounds good to me. I'll come and probably my mother will as well.

Sounds good to us and it is 20 days before we leave so perfect timing.
