Krispy Creme - where to find them???

WHEN WE GO IN JANUARY, MY MOTHER IS ALSO GOING AND LOVES, I MEAN, LOVES KRISPY CREME DOUGHNUTS AS SHE CANNOT GET THEM AT HOME. SHE IS STAYING AT ALL STAR MOVIES FOR A FEW DAYS BEFORE WE COME AND THEN WE ARE STAYING AT OUR DVC RESORT - BOARDWALK.

ARE THERE ANY PLACES AT EITHER RESORT THAT SELLS THEM?

do not know about the resorts

but think i have seen lil kiosks of krispy kremes at Walgreen drug stores which are all over down there


there is a krispy kreme on 192 just down from old town

I've also read in other threads that the Cape May Cafe's character breakfast serves Krispy Kremes.

Just look out across the parking lot of the Boardwalk.
Krispy Kremes are located at the Exxon station in front of the resort.

We ate at Donalds Breakfast at Aminal Kingdom in early Dec.
They have Krispy Kream on the Buffet. They are so good!!

The caffeteria at WL has KK too.

Tubbi's cafeteria at the Dolphin has them & is very close to the Boardwalk ... yummy ...

I'm pretty sure I picked up a box at the Winn Dixie near Crossroads on our last trip. We're not big donut people, but Krispy Kremes are a whole different story!

We bought a 'box' of Krispy Kremes last year at one of the grocery stores and they were NOTHING like the ones fresh baked, so won't be doing that again.
Tubby's was sold out by 10 AM on the Sunday we were at the Dolphin.

There is a "real" Krispy Kreme store in Kissimmee on Rt 192, East of I-4 and just West of where Rt 535 joing Rt 192. On the south side of the road.

There's another on Rt 17/92 in Winter Park, not too north of the border with Orlando.

Look for the red neon "Hot Doughnuts Now" sign to be lit. Once you've had Krispy Kremes fresh from the assembly line, you'll understand what all the hoopla is about.

Wow....I never would have imagined that people go this crazy over Krispy Kremes. I live in NC and we have them all the time. Nothing special to us...just another doughnut.

I'm from NC too, and I know exactly what they're talking about! We can't get enough of these things! The nearest real KK store is about 40 miles from me, so we NEVER fail to pick up some fresh doughnuts if we get anywhere close to the store!

My favorite is lemon-filled. Yummy! Definitely not just another doughnut. No one else's compares.

I agree that Krispy Kremes are wonderful. Guess I'm just not into doughnuts like most people. Where is Dobson? I'm in Cary...but I grew up in Creedmoor.

I lived behind a Dunkin Donuts for a couple of years, and I worked opening shift for a gas station during that time. Leaving at 5:45am was prime donut baking time, so my limited taste for donuts was squashed for quite some time. Mind you, if it's got sugar in it, I will like it!

Krispy Kremes restored my taste for donuts. I love the Boston Creme, but only if fresh. The glazed are so good, I will buy them at the supermarket in the box....mmmmnnn! My 6yo is now a nut for them, too, and today I had to pick up the third box this school break because a dozen doesn't last long when you've got 4 in the house diving on them!

I'm so glad I started this thread as it's turned into a 'friends reunited' club!!
I had a deprived childhood here in the UK without K.K. memories - but will put that right in July when we're staying in Kissimmee (got the directions, crazywig and gary403!)
Will report back eventually - it better be good!!

I guess I'm one of the few people who think Krispy Kreme are so-so. I finially tasted one from the Real Krispy Kreme shop and it was 100% better than the ones we tried from Kroger. Still, I much prefer Dunkin Donuts.

We just got our first Krispy Kreme in Little Rock back in February, a lot of people were wondering why they we so famous. I have just recently noticed that the "HOT" sign is going off mid-afternoon. I would take almost two months of the sign being on as good business. As one person said, you get a better feeling of how good they are when you walk in, and one of the workers hands you one fresh off the line.
Our last visit to Donalds had doughnuts, but now Krispy Kremes? What will they have next?

We had our first Krispy Kremes on our last trip, that's all my kids talk about now. I think they enjoyed this as much as their trip!

I am in real pain here. As we speak I am staying a stone's throw from the Krispy Kreme on 192 (between milemarkers 10 and 11). They really are that good!

Unfortunately this is the 15th day of my strict Atkin's diet and I've lost 19 pounds so far. The diet is going very well and I'm not a bit hungry (bored out of my skull with the diet, but definitely not hungry lol)...so I don't want to mess it up.

*sigh*

As Kermit says, it's not easy being lean.
