We'll be in Epcot for 2 days, and I've decided on Tangierine Cafe for one lunch. We are all adventurous eaters (DH and I, kids 9, 9 and 11), and I keep changing my decision about Kringla or Yakitori. The ham and jarlsberg cheese with soup sounds yummy, but so does several of the combination meals at Yakitori. Help!

My vote is Yakatori House... It is our favorite quick service in Epcot... Hubby and I LOVE it...

Another vote for Yakitori House!!!

Kringla had some neat things, but none of it really looked that appealing to me. I had a cream horn there that was very yummy.....I had to pay for that out of pocket though.

At Yakitori, we had the combination that had tempura, teriyaki, and sukiyaki. It was ALL very good. We also ate at Tempura Kiku, which is in the same building as Teppanyaki. It was VERY good too (table service).

We shared a CS at Tangierine one day and liked it as well. They have entrees that are $13.95, so you do get your money's worth there! We got a combination that had lamb, couscous, chicken, some kind of salad....it was yummy.

We enjoyed the combo plate at Yakitori House on our last visit----but hey do both--have a meal at Yakitori and a snack at Kringla Bakery---we prefer the snacks at Kringla to those at France

Kringla hands down. The soup in AMAZING as is the rice cream. I had 3 this trip. I swear it's soo good and MUCH better than France.

Yakatori is a must stop for us each trip. DD loves the Udon noddle soup, and the rest of us share a combo plate. The gardens are lovely, there.

Why not have lunch at Yakitori and then go to Kringla for a desert?

Okay, we will be the dissenting voice here. My family calls Yakitori the YUCKITORI house. UGH...it was dry, a small amount, and flavorless. Never tried Kingla, but it has to be better! Of course, our favorite WS counter is Tangierine.

Hve the beef curry at Yakitori 5.99 and a dessert from Kringla. The gateau slices are delicious. :goodvibes

What is rice cream?

Rice cream is like rice pudding with strawberry sauce. I like the rice pudding, but don't care for the strawberry sauce, it's way too sweet.

Hmmm, I don't like strawberries, but I love strawberry jelly. I think it's the seeds. I don't like any fruit seeds. The seeds are just strange, and really don't belong with the berries, IMO. That's why I love blueberries. Weird, I know.

I'm the party pooper i guess but to be honest, we didn't like kringla at all.
the school bread is heavily flavored with cardamon( i think that is the spice , it looked delicious but i couldn't eat it which says just how bad it was :rotfl: ) forget what husband got but he didn't like his either. and the servers were really rude and kept rolling their eyes when we asked for a discription of what something was( that could change of course depending on who is working)

yakitori house was hands down tie with China for most pitiful cs meal at wdw, dry gray teriyaki chicken with gross over cooked veggies, at least the rice was good.... and the garden setting would have been great except the tables were filthy, i mean "give me a typhoid shot before i eat" filthy.it looked like they hadn't been cleaned in months

so i'd get fish and chips( make sure they are fresh) or to to sommerset then go to france for sweets

We REALLY like Yakitori House, and it's a great place to sit and relax. You can enjoy the garden view in air conditioning if you're going in late spring or summer, and the food is really tasty. It's not gourmet, mind you, but definitely better than takeout. I agree with others that Kringla is the place to be for dessert! :thumbsup2
