Kouzzina by Cat Cora closing Nov29-Dec14

Breakfast is being served at Flying Fish, I'm sure the club level will get it's offerings from one of the two kitchens. We're looking forward to it.

:santa::santa::santa:

I "had" a reservation for Kouzzina's on 12/14.

Having read several days ago about the probability of the restaurant's rehab/closing, I made a back-up reservation.

This morning I noticed that my Kouzzina's reservation for 12/14 has now disappeared from the "my reservations" page.

I did not receive a phone call from Disney. They must have figured out that I knew about the closure since I was essentially double-booked.

Thanks, Disboards, for the head's up!!

I find it interesting so many people dislike Kouzzina's! We just returned from our trip last Monday and ate there twice!
The vongole is to die for. Those croutons in that app are amazing! I also had the lamb shank and the meat was just falling off the bone. The desserts did leave a lot to be desired but we definitely enjoyed our meal.
For breakfast I had the stacked kouzzina breakfast and it was delicious! My mother and I also split a fruit plate that came with greek yogurt! The fruit was very fresh and really hit the spot.
I really hope some people reconsider. As for the noise our room was over the restaurant and we cracked up every time we heard oopa!

Does Disney typically contact those who have adrs when a restaurant will be closed? We have adrs at Kouzzina during this time period and looked forward to eating there but I need to find an alternative, if this is true.

We got a call that we had been switched to flying fish and that the menu would-be similar to Kouzinna so we are keeping our 2 ressies!!!

Since Kouzzina just opened 1 year ago if I am correct about that, isn't it weird that they are already getting a renovation to it?

My impression was they didn't change the decor too much from spoodles. Now that it has been around awhile they are investing in a full renovation, maybe.

And I think by "functioning olive oil display" they perhaps mean a station where you can taste different oils, maybe. Sounds cool.
