This might be a long shot on Dis but I've just learned that our kosher-keeping friends will be at WDW for 5 days in August. I know most everything from here and allears about where to find it and how to order it and have shared that info. My question is have any of you tried it? What food was actually served where? Were you comfortable with the quality and level of supervision? Was it good? Thanks for anything you might be able to share.

My sister had the kosher meal at Cosmic Ray's last June. She thought it was pretty good. I think it was brisket with potatoes and carrots. It came heated and completely sealed.

The following is from the Disney site:

"Most Walt Disney World ® Resort table service restaurants that accept Advance Reservations can accommodate Kosher needs if requested at least 24 hours in advance by calling 407-WDW-DINE. We do require a credit card to guarantee this order, but will not charge the card unless the Reservation is canceled within 24 hours or the party is a no-show.

At Family Style or Buffet locations Guest will only receive one meal, this will not be all-you-care-to-eat. Guests will be charged the regular buffet or all-you-care-to-eat price. "

In addition, at all Quick Service locations, both in the parks and the Resort Food Courts, kosher meals are available.

Thank you Deb. I see Cosmic Ray's is one of the places that has kosher on the regular menu. Gotta love that Disney inclusiveness! Glad it was pretty good. Anyone try kosher at a table service place that was special order?

Thank you Chesire Figment, I had looked up that information but was looking mostly for reviews of the food and its supervision. Thanks again.

Given possible privacy issues, for anyone reading, please feel free to PM me if you have information.

The food is one cut above airline food. I had corned beef at cosmic Rays and it was OK. I believe it is Kof-K supervision (it's a good hecksher).

Thanks Punkin, yes, I suppose that must be. They'll probably opt to bring in snack food but there are times that a hot meal is still welcome even if it does look like airline food. Thanks for the supervision info also.

There also used to be a habad restaurant off-site that was pretty good. I haven't been in a while.

Thanks again Punkin. I'm not sure if that's still open. Need to do some more research.

Now that the weekend is over, any more takers / opinions here?
