Kong and Waterworld queries....

Hi. Am trying to plan my Universal days...Do we know when reign of Kong will be opened? I see Summer 2016 but is that June/July?? Also, Is the waterworld attraction/show gone now? Also is the cinematic spectacular worth sticking around for? TIA

There never was a waterworld attraction at Universal Orlando.

Rumor is that Kong will be opening mid June.

We liked the evening show at Universal. I thought it was worth sticking around for.

Cinematic show is decent.

Shows a lot of old movie clips......you'll recognise most of them, so if you like nostalgia you'll enjoy that bit of it.

The fireworks and water show are nice and well done. Not spectacular, but nice enough and kinda suit Universal somehow, not too ostentatious. You can see really well from most places around the lagoon and best of all you don't need to be there hours before to grab a spot.

The cinema night show is great for me as I probably have seen all the movies that are shown in this production

The have the movies grouped by era and the light show is simple but compliments this production

I have had people near me poo poo this evening event and say they have no idea of the movie clip and don't feel there is a theme

They don't make the connection

Kind of like a person watching a show at wdw that has movie parts and music wondering what it was all about since they have never watched a Disney flick

Look into doing the Cinematic dining thing at Lombard's. The food is ok (upscale chain type food). But having the reserved seating and coffee, hot cocoa and desserts while waiting for the show is really nice, especially if you go in the early spring, late fall or winter when the temps can dip into the low 60's/upper 50's.
