breakfast menu at konas at poly looks good. just wondering how far konas is from magic kingdom and sea world. we are staying at coronada so trying to get an idea how long it takes to get to poly from hotel and then go to MG or sea world. is it worth it to go to konas?? thanks!

Kona is very worth it.

It is just across Seven Seas Lagoon from the Magic Kingdom. If you are planning on spending the day at the MK, you could drive to the MK parking lot at the TTC and just walk to the Polynesian or take the resort monorail. You could also take the bus from CS to the MK and then take the resort monorail to the Polynesian which drops you off steps from Kona.

To drive to MK parking from CS is probably 15 minutes. Probably another 15 minutes to get to the restaurant.

Can't help with Sea World but if you want to go to Kona just for breakfast (and then not on to the MK), you could park at the Polynesian for breakfast. You will be given a 3 hour parking pass. Again about a 15 minute drive from CR to the Polynesian.

Kona is just a monorail ride away from the Magic Kingdom. You just walk out the door, board the monorail on the same level as the restaurant (second level). Once you are on the monorail, you stop at the Grand Floridian and the next stop is the MK - very quick ride. The only variable is how long you wait for a monorail.

From the Coronado, you would take the bus to the MK and then either board the resort monorail to the Poly (stops at CR, TTC and then the Poly) or if the MK-Poly boats are running, you can take one of those. I'd allow 30-45 mionutes for the trip.

To get to Sea World, you'd need to drive. My guess is it would take 30 - 45 minutes Poly parking lot to Sea World parking lot, depending on the traffic on I-4.

We enjoy the Kona - especially the pressed pot Hawaiin coffee!

Best wishes -

Kona Cafe is a favorite of ours for breakfast. The last two times we have just driven over and parked at the Polynesian, eaten breakfast, and taken the monorail from the Polynesian Resort to the Magic Kingdom for the morning. Here's some pictures of what we ordered in June:

can we park at poly and leave our car there and go to MK? what is TTC? not up with all the lingo.

If you are going to eat at a resort, it is perfectly ok to park there. Just tell security that you have an advance reservation for breakfast and they will give you a permit to put in your car window.

TTC=Ticket and Transportation Center, the hub for Walt Disney World transit. You may catch a monorail, boat or bus from here.

Actually, you'll only get a 3 hour permit, so if you're planning on going to MK for the rest of the day, then no, you cannot park at Poly.

Park at the TTC, take the tram and walk to Poly. It's just about a 5-10 minute walk to Kona from there.

As an FYI, they can and do TOW cars with expired parking permits there.

In all honesty you'd be beter off parking at the TTC and taking the monorail or walking to the Polynesian, then taking the monorail or boat to the MK.
