Hi all! I am arriving for my first ever Poly stay on May 2nd. :cool1:

My sis and bil are getting in around 7ish, so we have a ressie for Kona at 9pm. Wishes is at 10pm that night. Will we be able to see from the restaurant? Or should we try to move a bit earlier? It's an adults only trip for four nights, so if we miss it the first night not that big a deal, but I thought it might be a fun welcome to the World kind of thing.

Thanks!

Kona is on the 2nd floor interior wall toward the front of the Great Ceremonial House so I don't see how you could see Wishes from there. I've read you can see it from 'Ohanas and from the beach tho.

There is no view from Kona. I don't believe it even has any windows. At any rate it is in the wrong section of the building for an MK view. 'Ohana has the view.

Kona does have windows but the view is of the monorail.

You might try changing to an earlier time with the lobby concierge or just showing up a little early. Have fun! :cool1:

I would suggest trying to get to Kona by 8:30. As it is getting later in the evening you may be able to get seated immediately and then be able to head out before Wishes!

As others have said, no Magic Kingdom view at Kona Cafe. But the restaurant has an open pastry kitchen. Watching the chefs craft Kona's delectable desserts is almost as wonderful as Wishes.

I'm exaggerating, I suppose, but not by much.

Great advice about showing up a bit early...we'll give that a try as well! And I can't wait for the delectable desserts!
